Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
My Acer notebook will load up, it will turn on, and load. After I put in my hdd password, it goes to a windows error recovery screen. It says i have two options: I can load windows normally, or start setup repair. I've tried both, and neither of them work! On the system recovery screen, it says i can load drivers, but i have none to load, and i hit the next button, and it takes me to another screen, i tried every option there also! If someone can please help me and give me some information on how to fix it, or to find a recovery disc, it would be greatly appreciated! If for some reason you need to contact me my email address is email@example.com, or firstname.lastname@example.org
You have three options here; 1. Download a Linux Live CD (such as DamnSmallLinux) to access the files necessary to build the recovery CD's 2. Check whether there is a hidden recovery partition on your drive. To do this, press F11 when the computer is starting up (if F11 does not take you to the recovery screen, try ALT+F10 or ALT+F11). This will allow you to restore the machine in the same manner as your recovery CD's did (manufacturers often put the recovery partition on the drive in addition to CD, just incase the CD gets misplaced). 3. Contact Acer and have them send you a copy of the recovery CD (they will usually charge you for this).
