I have a 1976 junkers hot water service serial number 626 on the water inlet mechanism there is a gasket, it is leaking can i get a new gasket

Wow, this is an old unit. I am not sure about parts, how adventurous do you feel? Depending on your type of gasket, I would make one from similar material. If you have the old one, go to an auto parts store, they tend to have gasket material there. Choose a material similar in thickness to your gasket. Trace the old one on the new material, cut the material and presto, you have a new gasket. Perfectly matched isn't an issue with this. Close counts. If you supply a picture of the inlet and the gasket, we can narrow down your options.
thanks Joe

No cool 80 supply temp

That is a high suction pressure should be running about 46 psig and head pressure should be amibent temp or outside temp and add 25 to it. that will give you approximate head temp. sounds like you have a dirty condenser I would clean it. Check your amp draw on your compressor if its high then I would check for dirty condenser. You can clean it with a stiff hair brush go up and down do not go sideways because you can damage your fins on the coil. Then take a water hose and wash it out. turn off the power to the unit before cleaning do not clean with compressor running. turn off the breaker box. I hope this helps.

We got a new thermocoupler kit for our hot water heater, replaced the old one and it's still not working

You should have red button in front of your water heater. Push down, hold down for about a min. to let air out of gas line. Then retry to relite your thermocoupler with the red button down again. Hold down till you see your copler glow red, release button.
