Confusion connecting my receiver to the RCA255 dvd receiver for cd use

Ok is your cash converters purchase a RCA, RTD255 system or is the RCA255 you quote something else, I'll assume that we are dealing with the first, and that seems to be a All in one system that contains speaks amp etc

You also have your new AVR 310 which is amplifier that one would connect a stand alone DVD/CD player to, You wouldn't connect the cash converter purchase to it, it is a seperate system.

You could use your cash converter system alone without the AVR310 but not with it.

I have a 52" RCA

sounds like the power supply capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114 need replacement. You can get the RCA repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the caps and the CD with repair instructions.

hi there
open up your dash get 1 short RCA cable (red and white) male ends on them
now place the red and white RCA into the back of DVD in-dash player next step the aftermarket CD player should have 2 rca plugs that say aux put the other end red and white RCA cable that you just put into DVD unit into the aux inputs on back of CD player when this is done reinstall both units back into the dash now on your CD player press the source button till aux appears once this is done you will hear the DVD player sound...........now if you press the source button and no aux appears......hold down the source button till the CD player powers off...........once CD player is off hold down the F (function) button till beep or unit turns on a display use the skip buttons or F (function) button to go threw features once you get to aux turn aux to on now hold the source button down again till unit powers on normally once this is done press source button again till you find aux........if you get sound and the TV doesn't work let me know and ill guide you to get that running too (if there are no aux RCA plugs on the back of CD player) let me know (sometimes there is a headphone looking plug on back of CD units) if what i told you doesn't work let me know the brand of CD player you have so i can give you correct setups I'm only going by your in-dash DVD player right now

Wish I could hear how others resolved the issue - or did they? It's just over a year old.

Playing CD'S

Nototh, My sister and have the same problem, with dvd's or cd's... it doesn't do it all the time, but it started after about 3 1/2 months after purchase, my sister's started doing that around 5 months. Someone replied that it could be overheating from over crowding with other components... but I have it sitting by itslef, so that's not it. I personally think it's the processor, because it "acts" the same as a computer "feeze up", so I think that it just doesn't have the right processor in it to handle the speed that it's set read at. But I stated that I'm no expert in that field. And it's going to cost more than the unit is worth to fix, so I just antied up and bought a Yamaha Amp & DVD high def/Klipsch surround combo, that I am very pleased with.

Try depressing the power button actually ON the set, not with the remote. It may be jammed. Give ia a few good presses and see if it might be gunky or something
