Question about Televison & Video
The tv shuts off and some lighted words flash in a little circle on the bottom of the screen (green and red) the words lead me to believe the lamp is getting too hot......I took it to a repair place and of course they couldn't find anything wrong....brought it back home and it worked for about three or four weeks now it's shutting off again.....the repair place charged me 130.00 to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong!!! It is a Samsung 42 in high def tv about one and a half years old.
Plasma or lcd? based on the age I would guess plasma, based on that the unit sounds like it is over heating, most units can have fans placed inside to assist cooling the boards, however the unit has an operating temp range if your home gets warm then it may be that this tv is overly sensitive to temperature variations. sorry I could not be of more assistance.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
