Can u hook up a audio amplifier to a stock deck in a 2005 dodge Durango limited edition 5.7 ltr engine if u can? were do I go for a diagram? Or a manual or video

You need to look at the back of the stock deck to see if it has pre-amp outputs. That would be RCA jacks. If it does, then the RCA jacks would plug into the power amp Input using RCA cables.

How do I connect Marantz AV7005 to Marantz SR9600

Remove the little black jumpers on the 9600 that link the pre amp section to the main amplifier inputs. They are the top row of rca inputs on the back. Using single rca cables from the pre out of the 7005 into the main amplifier of the 9600 connect all the channels you have wired speakers for, L,R,C, SL,SR, etc up to 7. Connect all your sources to the 7005 with whatever cables you have it doesn't matter. Turn off the 9600 volume and use only the 7005 to control the volume. It works perfectly giving an awesome amp a new lease on life. Good luck!

Amp comes on but music plays for 30 seconds then crazy feed back noise.one of rca jacks feels loose are they replaceable

Yes they are can be replaced. If you meant the RCA female sockets on the amp then it needs that the amp is taken out and the RCA terminals soldered -- it can be poor joints. If not you can de-solder and change with a new one.
If this is the RCA main socket then the wire can be **** off and a new RCA jack of good quality can be soldered, taking care to keep the shield and main line with a good solder point.

No output to the subwoofer using the sub pre out RCA jack.

I'm assuming your subwoofer is self-amplified, otherwise it won't work with a preamp (rca) input.

Under Speaker Setup you have to have Subwoofer set to YES (page 16).

If you have good bass-capable main speakers I would recommend setting the subwoofer playback mode to LFE+Main, otherwise just LFE.

Beyond this we would need to know something more about the subwoofer and its controls.

Connect any other preamp out channel, like CDR/Tape OUT, to the sub and tune an FM station to see if the sub is capable of processing audio. A 'normal' audio signal would sound muffled but it would prove the cabling, amp and speaker at least function and point us back to setup as the culprit.

I just purchased a used SX 3800 Receiver and upon viewing the back panel, suspect a pre-amp maybe required. What is required or compatible? This is a first for me.

HI... NO pre-amp required.
Pioneer made it so you can send the pre-amp signal to a larger power amp ( if you want to)...Either there is a switch to jumper the "pre-out" to the "power in" jacks OR you need to connect a couple of RCA (phono style) cables between them

How can i test my rca output jacks with a test light? pioneer deh p3100ub. hooked up spkr, nothing. tried one rca plug to white(lt) and then red(rt). Unit has 4 rca jacks, 2 for subwfr and 2 for front...

:) the rca jacks have to be connected to an amplifier,, their signal is too lay to even light a bulb.. you have to connect it to a car amplifier and then from the amplifier to the speakers..

Just so you'd know,, once your deck plays and you hear music on your speakers through your normal speaker wires,, RCA jacks work..

Ok you have 4 jacks,, 2 subs and 2 front.. These should connect to a preamp,, which takes 4 inputs and allows you to equalize or adjust how the music should sound,, now from the pre-amp,, it runs to an amplifier,, thats powers the subs and another that powers the speakers.. Some amps have 4 inputs so you can use one amp for your subs mids and heights..

for example a basic music system is

1 cd player
1 pre amp
1 amplifier (4 inputs, 4 channel out)

you bridge 1+2 and connect this to 1 12" double coil sub woofer

the next 2 connect to 2 mid speakers example "rockford or ev 5 / 8 " and 2 tweeters for heights..

Thats a kicking tricked out basic car audio system,,,

Hope that helps you understand how it works..

Short Pin/Headphone jack issue with NAD CBE 720 Receiver

It's logical since the headphones jack is connected at the main amplifier. Does your new main amp has headphones out?

Can I hookup a Bose 901 EQ to my receiver and amp?

Your instincts are correct. In fact, the only way the 901's can live in an A/V system is with dedicated amplification.

Put that old amp back to work.

This is exactly how mine are connected.

For connection I would run a pair of RCA cables from the Front L&R Audio Line OUT to the Active EQ's Line IN; then the EQ's Line OUT to a separate amp's Line IN. Attach the 901's to the new amp, run through the receiver's setup procedures for volume, etc and you're done.

Equalizer connections

Usually you hook your equalizer between the pre out and main in RCA jacks and then open the connection between the pre and main with a switch. If your unit doesn't have pre out/ main in jacks then I have seen it done by putting your equalizer between the tape in and tape out jacks and then select that tape function on your front panel. The tape out goes to eq. in and the eq. out goes to tape in. Good luck.

Trying to hook up amplifier to after market 6by 9 using factory radio

You can not connect the speaker lines directly to the RCA inputs of your amplifier. But you can connect them to your amplifier if your amp has a high level input. Most of the time it looks just like the speaker jacks of the amp, but smaller. It will be labeled high level input or speaker input. Sometimes an amplifier will have a jack for a wiring harness just for this purpose. Some amplifiers have them and some don't.

If your amplifier does not have them, you can purchase a line level adapter at most anyplace that installs car stereos. it converts the speaker level to the proper level of the RCA input.
Just follow the instructions on how to connect it.

If you try to connect the speaker outputs directly to the RCA input of the amplifier you will blow up the pre-amp in your amplifier.

I hope this was helpful to you, if so a good rating is always appreciated.

Thanks and let me know if you need more help.
