Question about SanDisk Sansa View 8GB MP3 Player - Black
Could be that whatever they used to hold that socket in place has come loose.
Not much you can do with it, aside from taking it back or sending it in to get repaired.
You could try to open it and see where it's loose.
Tho that would most likely void what warranty you may still have on the device.

not an uncommon fault ,its easy to repair providing you can take the set apart then clean the contacts on the jack plug and bend them in a bit and away you go for another year or so
