    • Retarded ignition timing

Type of oil and spark plugs for ctf 150

Just use standard motorcycle oil 10W40 do not use semi or full synthetic as it will not give you any benefits. For spark plug just use factory standard which you can see on the spark plug's neck.
Good enough?

I need to "test" the spark plug & don't remember how to. Also I cant remember if the key is straight or turned to the left to be "on". Thanks

The simpliest way to test a spark plug is to put it in the spark plug wire of a known running machine. Crank the engine over and watch for the spark. We used to check them with an ohm meter from center electrode to the spark plug wire cap of the plug. The resistance should be 8 ohms or so but todays spark plugs have much higher resistances.

Standard spark plugs are not expensive but the "platnium" jobs are. Just get a standard plug and plug it into the spark plug wire.

I can't help you with the switch position.

Replacing spark plugs

Not exactly sure what you need?
Standard Rules:
Use a Spark Plug Socket to remove and install Spark Plugs.
Replace (remove) one Wire at a time from one Spark Plug.
Replace One Spark Plug at a time. Use Anti-Seize Grease applied moderately to the threads on the new Spark Plug.
Using a Socket (with a extension) START all installations using your hands. This prevents cross-threading and stripping of the threads inside the Heads.
Standard Torque 15-20 ft-lbs.
Replace the One Wire connection to that One Spark Plug.
Replace that One Wire connection to the Ignition Coil.
Go onto the next Spark Plug using the above Rules.
Repeat.

For the 3.4L V6:
Firing Order:
1-2-3-4-5-6
Cylinders:

1.......3.......5
2.......4.......6
......(front)
Ignition Coil Connections:
