All these sets have a DM unit, when set is unplugged and plugged back the green light should blink for about 70 seconds and then stop--when it stops you can turn the set on.

This is the DM unit booting up like a computer--fyi, not a good idea to do this on too regular a basis.

Green light keeps flashing

A Green light or White light maybe blinking while the TV is turning on. This is normal and will stop once the TV does come on. If the light continues to blink and the TV does not come on or if the TV comes on and then turns off and the process starts over again, and unplug the TV for about 3 minutes then plug it back in and try again.

My mitsubishi tv W55613 won't turn on. green light keeps blinking even after resetting

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

Power blinking green light

Power supply section may be the problem, that will be the first place to look, look for caps with leaking/bulging tops, see examples of failed TV and monitors due to bad caps here;

I turn the tv. on , the green light comes on then

When you turn it on and it shuts off---ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE MENU AND INPUT(DEVICE) BUTTONS TOGETHER FOR AT LEAST 5 SECONDS AND RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS.

Power light should blink a two digit error code---for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--This is the most common error code.

Let me know what error code you get and I will tell you what it means and if 2-2 what the problem is.

TV won't turn on even though it starts green, then goes off

Although my tv still does the "turn green and turn off" thing, I simply unplugged and repluggd the tv. After I did that, I pushed the "ON" button on the tv itself, unplugging and replugging the tv until it finally came on. I think the "instant warm-up" switch is going out.
