Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers

1 Answer

We built a home last August and our appliances are Whirlpool. We were very happy to know that we would be having Whirlpool applicances bacause we've always heard how great they are. But, we have not been pleased with our dishwasher. We called Metro Builders in Tulsa, Ok who provided the dishwasher for our house and asked several times to come check on it because it will not dry our dishes. They told us to just use Jet Dry and that would take care of it. I told them we use Jet Dry and make sure that we have it on heat dry. They said they didn't know what would be the problem. I have to hand dry each item before I put them in the cabinets. If I don't want to hand dry them, then I let them sit in the dishwasher for at least a day to air dry. We, also, purchased a new refrigerator to match our appliances and it has a high pitched ringing sound to it when it runs its cycle. We've have an appliance repairman from Hahn's Appliance Store in Tulsa to come out several times. The last time they replaced the motor part, I think, to see if that would help and it didn't. It is very annoying when we have guests and they have to listen to the ringing noise, also. So, if you could help us in any way, we would appreciate it. As of right now, we have not been pleased with Whirlpool Appliances and have told friends that are in the process of getting new appliances to maybe look at other brands. Thank you! The dishwasher model # is DU810SWPU3

    The serial # is FU2045867

    The type is # 280-0

The dishwasher is less than a year. I think it was the compressor that they replaced. They had to order one from Texas. We bought the fridge before we moved in the house and they kept it in storage for us. So, it's over a year old.

We appreciate you returning your suggestions to us in a timely manner. Please let us know what we need to do.

    Thank you!

Hey guys, what is the model number of your dishwasher? The people/person that installed it could have wired it wrong. There is also a high limit (saftey device) that has tripped therefore not letting the element heat.As for the refrigerator it sounds like the compressor making that noise as they do tend to whine but not noticeable. If these appliances are less then a year old the should be under warranty.Let me know.

My quiet partner 111 whirlpool dishwasher is flashing clean

Hello.
Manufactured by Whirlpool, Kenmore dishwashers have an electronic control panel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your dishwashing cycle. If an error light is blinking on your dishwasher's control panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinking lights on your dishwasher control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needs to be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the control panel, contact Sears to service your Kenmore dishwasher or consider troubleshooting the appliance yourself.
1Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button on your Kenmore dishwasher for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher control panel.
2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after the other, in fairly quick succession.
3 Wait for the dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the end of the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your Kenmore dishwasher.

Thanks.

Our whirlpool dishwash is not cleaning the dishes very well so I pulled it out from the wall and un hooked the electrical and the water lines. After looking at it I hooked everything back together and I...

I've installed many DW's and haven't seen a reset on one. Take in mind, not saying that they're couldn't be one, but I doubt it IMHO. I've been installing all appliances proffessionally for 10 years and it just doesn't seem like there could be one.

Have you check your washing machine plug behind the machine to see if it's a GFCI plug? I've seen it happen where a consumer had done something electrical in the home and it tripped. They bought a new machine and we showed them that it was the outlet, they didn't even know that they had one behind the machine. I know this doesn't help much but good luck in the problem solving.

Miele no heat

The last I checked, the G660 will not work for the G665. If you look under Applicances in your phone book, you will see several appliance repair places. Most of them can get you universal kits to replace this. I however caution however that you should really let a tech look at your dishwasher. Something tells me that boards got shorted out by mistake without realizing it.

Dishwasher door

I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years generally speaking the door has plastic guides which are just inside the machine where the hinge goes, it sounds like these are worn, to get to view these the side panels have to be removed, sometimes a difficult job, if a built in appliance then all the unit needs to be pulled out, could be an easy repair? once access is gained to the guides sometimes the cost or difficulty outweighs the difficulty of the repair with hinges, easy to make problem worse if not careful if this helps please rate me
