Question about Emerson LC320EM9 32 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

I have a 32inch Emerson LC320EM9B lcd tv and it has a cracked screen. I took it apart to look at the connects froms the circut board to the lcd panel to see which connections are neccesary to get a replacment panel. I found this panel, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260628039762&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123 . The name is "32" Replacement LCD Panel CLAA320WA01 Chunghwa Chuanhwa". Comparing the photo to the back of my tv, they look very similar. However i cannot tell. Can anyone help me to see if this panal will fit, thanks!

On the back of your tv's LCD panel, there will be a part number printed on a label or on the panel itself. Have a lok at it and see if it matches the one you have found on e-bay. If you cannot tell which one is the part number then get me all the numbers that are on the panel and i will tell you whats the part number and where you can get a suitable replacement.

Oh! Thats weird! Did you disassemble the panel from the tv? The panel has a metal shield behind it(in some models). You may have to dis-assemble that to find the part number. Meanwhile I will try finding the part number myself.

Yes run a google search for that part number . The ebay link you gave is the best deal you can possibly get. If the number matches you may wanna buy that right away. Usually replacement panels costs almost as much as the entire tv. Also just in case you still can't find the part number, then you may wanna get the service manual from the link below. It costs 12.99$ but it will help you with closure. Your Tv is listed as BLC320EM9 http://www.service-docs.com/store/catalo...

My tv will not stay on.model lc320em9b. tv will only stay on for about 2 minutes then goes off.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Check the power board in your TV to see if there are blown capacitors. Before that check that all the cables are seated into the TV properly with plugin wall power.

I have an Emerson TV Model #LC320EM9B about 1

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Can i get my 32inch ambilight screen fixed ,it has a crack on it .

Hi Raverbaby768,

I am Sorry that you LCD 32inch screen cracked.
and I Fear the costlies part of LCD TV's is the Screen.

Yes, the screen is the most expensive part of your entire TV. The cost of repair + transportation will likely equal to or exceed the cost of a new TV.
I would suggest you to try fixing the screen in the near service centre.

If my Solution is informative, kindly vote.
