Washer I have a maytag washer/ Dryer stackable the washer just stopped working, there is nothing when you push in the dial. The dryer is fine, so I know there is not a power problem. I think its the dial, how do I remove the dial to check connection/ replace?

Check the door switch. Turn on dryer as you push in on switch where the door catch is and see if it starts . when closed the pin may not be pushing it in.
Howdy: The circuit breaker could have popped in the motor. Maybe the selector on/off switch has gone south. Will need a AC meter to check voltages from switch to motor. Doug
I had the same problem, take the easy rout first and check for obstructions in your venting. Mine was clogged and it shut itself down (to protect itself?)
Yes, it is inside the front washer lower front panel. Turn off poawer to unit and change w/ 1Amp 250V (regular of slow-blow). Then try only opening washer lid door with full dial pushed in (that would be the 'off' position. Only open/close lid w/ dial in off position. If washer works normally, may have a temp solution. Mine started this way, but ultimately the double relayed door lid switch was going bad and I had to replace it. Instructions/pictures below. Good Luck
well i am having about the same problem, but mine won't even fill, the dryer works but the washer won't fill or turn on at all. my husband had it all apart, too the control assembly to parts place and they said that hardly ever goes bad so it is still sitting unusable with no answer or money to spend on it in site.
Unfortunately, your washer and dryer are part of a "laundry center". Which means, the two together are one system. They cannot be separated. You can still use the dryer, obviously. Have you considered fixing the washer?
