Question about Toshiba 19LV505 DVD Player
From what you have described it sounds like a problem with the eject/ loadmechanism. The DVD is lowered onto the lens-laser assembly that will cause the unit to read the disc. Due to the faulty mechanism it is neither lowering it onto the lens there by not reading the disc, nor ejecting. You can force the DVD player to eject by inserting a pin into the emergency eject hole(look) for a small hole at the front) and twisting it while repeatedly pressing the eject button. That should help you eject it. As for the drive. It needs to be replaced as this cannot be repaired.
