Look in the setupmenu that you have MASTER for the GPS antena
or REPEATER for Seatalk input.
It you receive satelite on your satelitstatus but you have still NO FIX.
Make a Masterreset.

Yes might not be able to find a local repair guy for this device...also I won't suggest to buy a second hand device

Tape ejects and will not play

the tape player will first look to see that the tape threaded properly around the video and audio heads ... then it will check to make sure the tape take up reel starts to move before allowing it to continue .. if the take up reel doesn't move in a couple of seconds after insertion then the tape would spill out inside the machine and make a real mess order to prevent that the machine ejects the tape.

take up reels often quit because the rubber wheels, belts or friction drive components have become hardened from age .. if the take up drive is not strong enough then it wont pull in the tape .. in order to prevent tape and machine damage the recorder ejects the tape .. that can also happen if the rubber parts have contamination or lubricant on the friction surfaces ... you can sometimes clean those wheels and parts using distilled water or special cleaning fluid .. dont use alcohol since that will remove elastomers in the rubber .. sometimes you can use a pencil eraser to clean up the friction surface by removing oxidized rubber... the proper fix is to replace the rubber take up reel drive parts if they are still available .. a rubber wheel liquid dressing is available that improves the surface for a while ..

the same problem happens in high humidity areas .. if the humidity is high enough then the tape tends to stick to the audio head and other guide parts .. if that happens then the take up reel will also stop moving .. warming or drying the tape and air (air conditioning or dehumidifier) can fix that but it takes a few hours ..

if a machine has not been run for a long time then sometimes just by cycling it many times trying fast forward and reverse can clean up the drive parts enough to get it working .. but do that on tape you can afford to lose .. be careful you dont end up with a lot of tape piled up inside the machine.

some late model high quality machines have a different drive mechanism that is more reliable .. sometimes you can find really nice machines at goodwill .. the better name brand ones may still have parts available .. the low cost units are considered disposable and are almost never worth the work that it takes to fix them unless you do it yourself .. the mechanism borders on genius but workmanship and mechanical cost cutting often resulted in machines that barely worked even when new ..

My 1999 E150 heat takes a very long time to warm up. sometime it takes hours and some times it takes mins but when it warms up the heat works fine

This sounds like a sticking Thermostat. If your Temperature gauge on the dash indicates that the motor is still cold when it has run awhile and you have poor heat, its the Thermostat. It should be beneath the housing for the big top radiator hose. Observe the direction the old part was laying in and replace it with a new part facing the same direction.

You will need to replace the "O" ring or gasket under the fixture. You may lose a little Antifreeze and it will work much better to work on a COLD engine. When finished just start the engine and only add extra Antifreeze to the overflow plastic tank.

If after a day you still have problems, you will need to investigate further. Use the reply feature and eventually an Email will show up on this end.

2000 chevy S10 Will not start in the morning , lights radio and all electrical work , after the weather warms up usually after noon the truck starts fine , battery and starter new

The first things to check should be the operation of the choke or cold start. It could be not working properly or out of adjustment. When cold and the key is turned on,you should see the linkages work on the intake of the motor.2nd.Check all fuel filters and lines are all good.3rd.Check the sparkplugs are all in good order. It sometimes only takes one to playup when its very cold and you wont get it going..Try these first and I hope it helps

Keeps Losing Sattelite Connection

Try making surte the battery is fully charged by AC charger, do not rely on DC plug to fully charge the unit. Also depending on age use and abuse ( starting car while connected to DC) replace the battery and you should be on your way again

Sound on LC-20SH4U LCD TV takes 15 minutes to come on

Probably heat sink compound on the audio IC. Fixed them before. I would imagine under $100 depending where you live.

Good luck

DELL 26IN LCD model w2607c

some times it takes weeks or months. i've had twoo of theses tvs. leave it unplugged for a while. try a few days. when turnig it back on do not use the remote. hold the power button down for an extra two or three seconds. sometimes this will turn the tv on and off again, but sometimes this is the best way to get it to turn on if you have been having that problem. the best thing you can do is try extending your warranty from dell or having them ship you out a new one. once these things break there is really no fixing them and they only last a maximum of a couple years.
