Purchase a new computer or go online to see if you can find updated software for vista on that model of printer. If you have two computers you can network them but that may not work.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My Windows Vista SP1 isn't compatible with my Canon PIXMA MP600

You can download the vista drivers here. Under drivers and support then choose your operating system. Make sure to select the correct Vista for your system they have vista and vista 64. You can find which you are running by right clicking on my computer and choosing properties. It is likely normal Vista (Vista 32).

Need to downoad CD to new computer with Windows VistaSP1

Download the VISTA driver from the CANON website and install it. If you still have problems download service pack two and irnstall it first. Then instal the printer driver. DO not install VISTA service pack three with out installing two first.

There's an incompatibility issue with the Vista operating system updates and the Canon MP210.

  • Booted in Safe mode with only the print driver loaded - printer worked
  • Tried disabling all services except Microsoft services - Printer messed up
  • Reinstalled Vista from scratch (what a pain!!) with no updates - printer worked
  • Installed SP1 - Printer messed up
  • Uninstalled SP1 - printer worked
  • Installed Automatic Updater without SP1 - Printer messed up

May your printer doesn't fit to your operating system because Windows Vista is one of the complicated OS and hard to find installer or software to fit it in. Try to Replace your operating system that same as your brother have. maybe it can fix your problem!
