Question about Canon EOS 450D EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera with 1785mm and 70300mm lenses
Try to configure the buttons from your lens as described below:
Button AF/MF: to AF
Button STABILIZER ON/OF: to OFF
The camera takes a longer time to focus when the ambient light is less.
Also, try in other modes, like Tv and Auto, and see if the camera focuses.
You may also try to:
1. Detach the lens from the camera
2. Turn the camera off.
3. Format and remove the Memory Card.
4. Reset all camera settings.
5. Remove battery and wait 2 min
6. Then insert battery, card and attach lens.
If it does not focus in bright light and in other modes and you have also tried all the steps above, try giving the contacts on the lens and camera a wipe with a dry cloth.
No liquid at all please.
If this doesn't work for you, please comment and let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.
