Gobii smartphone I can't save anything to the SD

The SD card you can use to put music on or pictures. You can't use it to save Apps or run apps. Apps and messages must be in the internal memory. And with 4Gb the internal memory is full before you know.

Saving pictures on a pantech duo

Yes, if you want to transfer pictures, music, etc to your new phone you will need to purchase a micro SD card. Make sure it is 2 gig or smaller though, as the Pantech Duo will not read anything larger.

I have a g1 and I don't kno how to put pictures or applications on my sd card. Does it do it by itself or do I have to download something and how do I do that?

To put pictures on your SD card all you need to do is attach the G1 to your computer, mount the SD card when the notification comes up on your phone, and then copy and paste any pictures you want onto it. However, you can't save applications on the SD card, they are saved in the phone memory when you download them from the Android Market.

Transfering pictures from the phone to the Mini SD card

File Manager will work (Start -> File Manager). I use Total Command as opposed to file manager. There is also a setting to default your (future) pics to the SD card. Hit the camera button, hit Menu (right soft button), select Options... select Camera, then Save Files to.

Media on card stopped working correctly

It sounds like you could have dirt on the contacts for the SD card slot, or the SD card is failing.

I would recomend two two things to try:

1) try using a popsicle stick with paper towel over it and wet with alcohol to swab the contacts and clean them. Be sure the phone is off when you do this. Whiel alcohol does not conduct any current and is safe to use with electronics, it is always best to power off your device, remove the battery, and start with a very safe, non-powered unit.

2) try a different SD card. They're really cheap now so try one that's a reliable name brand. Your SD card could be failing.

3) try reformatting your SD card. (this is the cheapest and easiest solution, but not the most reliable if the card is failing).

Storage message

I just gave up one of these for other reasons. I stopped having memory problems when I purchased and inserted an SD card to store extra data on. When I first inserted it, it told me there wasn't enough memory to even load the driver for the SD card. I imagine you will have the same problem. I solved it by deleting a bunch of pictures and email and then doing a soft reset on the phone. Once I that was done, the SD card loaded and the email program automatically started saving attachments to the card instead of the internal memory. Make sure you set the options for pictures to save on the card if you use the camera.

Good luck!
