Mp3 problems hey my zen v plus was stuck on recovery mode then i reloaded the format now it keeps saying firmwayre problem...can yo u help me please

Go on the creative.com and it has a recovery download that will recover your zen all you have to do is download the program

Stuck in recovery mode and firmware problems


My Creative Zen mp3 player is stuck on Recovery mode , and keeps on saying filmware problem. I have tried to reset, push power button down and push play button at the same time. I also tried Clean-Up Format and reload filmware.

Nothing has worked, and I am about to throw it out the window.

Please if you can help me.

Getting out of recovery mode


The recovery tool mentioned above is not designed for the sleek photo. You need to download the firmware for the sleek photo from creative's site. Now we need to get your player recognized to get the firmware loaded. If you have Windows Media Player 11, it needs to be removed. Also remove WMP runtime. After that, restart the pc and your player should be recognized. You can then double click on the firmware program to run it. It might say something like, this firmaware is already installed...do you want to reload it? Click yes to reload.

I had the same problem with my sleek photo. Once I got rid of WMP and the runtime everything worked like a charm.

Mp3 stuck in rebuilding library mode


hello guys sorry to hear your problems i have same problems too. Ok first plug ur zen player (mines V PLUS.. heheh) to ur pc then hold play button then keep pressing the reset botton until it turns on RECOVERY MODE then select YES to all (clean up, format, reload firmware) then download the RECOVRY TOOLS at creative site install it then plug ur zen player and run the recovery tools (cross ur finger) hopes it works mine a big smile hehehe email me at oracle101rage@gmail.com if it works..Gud Luck guys

reset it with paperclip. the hole is on it's left side, down from "on " trigger. then if you have probs with "re-building library", reset it, hold play button and turn it on. there will be recovery mode, try clean-up, if it doesn't help, just format it.
and read other solutions before you post yours)

Hard disk prob


hard disk is bad.
can you format?
  1. Detach the Zen player from your PC , and ensure that the Zen Sleek is turned off.
2. Connect the power supply to the player.
3. Hold down the Play/Pause button while inserting a paper clip into the Reset hole
underneath your player, beside the data/power connector. Keep on holding the
Play/Pause button while you release the Reset button. The Rescue Mode screen will
then appear.
4. After the recovery mode has started, release the Play/Pause button

It will display the following options.
Clean Up Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Does not affect music files themselves.
Format (All) Caution! Erases all content!
Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
Reload OS/ Firmware Caution! Erases your player's firmware.
DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
Reboot Reboots the device.
