The problem is generally caused by corrupt video drivers. Restart the computer, and before anything starts to appear on the screen , start tapping on F8 key on the keyboard slowly a couple of times. Select safe mode option and hit enter. If you are able to login in safe mode . The problem is with the video driver. Uninstall the video drivers from device manager and restart your computer.
