I have a netgear wnce2001 universal internet adapter. It was previously configured to the wireless internet in home to work with Xbox. Just yesterday the WLAN line went out. Hooked ethernet and USB cable up to computer. Proceeded to the netgear wizard to reconnect adapter to network. Got as for as step 3 and then told that there is difficulty connecting to the existing network. Does anyone have any suggestions to help solve my current problem? How can I reconnect?

2. Select a radio button.
• Push and Connect (recommended). Either click the button or press the WPS
button on the rear panel of the Internet adapter.
• PIN Number. Select the radio button and a PIN displays.
The Internet adapter tries to join the wireless network for 2 minutes if you are using Push
'N' Connect, or 4 minutes if you are using a PIN.
3. Go to the router.
• If you are using Push 'N' Connect, press the router's WPS button.
• If you are using a PIN, log in to the router and type the PIN from your Internet adapter
in its WPS screen.
4. Go back to the computer that is connected to the Internet adapter, and make sure that you
are connected to the wireless network.
• When WPS is running, the WLAN LED blinks, alternating between green and amber.
• If the computer does not to connect with WPS, the WLAN LED is solid red for 5
seconds.
• If the computer does connect using WPS, the WLAN LED is solid green for 5 seconds
Then the WLAN LED returns to indicating a wireless signal.

Can not connect chromecast to netgear wnr2000 v3

You need to follow the instructions of connecting the Comcast to a PC first, and setting it up.

Then you connect it to the TV and access the router wirelessly.

Netgear never gives a defined range in metres.
Will the WiFi adapter work with the TV, as it is designed to be controlled by a computer not a TV?
The USB socket on the TV is designed for being used as PVR, video recorder, not to connect to the internet.
You need to consult your TV manual, as I don't think it will ever work.
