Question about Seiko ThumBoard Keyboard

Finding the driver online

Having purchased the Thumboard on ebay for my palm vx, i was sent a 3.5 driver disk-sans the port cover. It contained no readable info, and I have been unable to get support from the seiko website or from versiontraker.com. Any leads?

The driver the previous user mentionned is only for the M500, not the Vx. I've placed the driver for the Seiko-austin thumboard 5000 for the palm Vx at dropfile.

Unable to get Seiko-Austin site to open - ?

Driver located from third party at http://www.geocities.com/pcawizman/palmthmb/m500r3.htm. This user indicated an issue with original driver direct from Seiko - and this is apparently common based on research.

As an FYI, see http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/seiko_thumboard_keyboard_review re potential issues with making sure the driver is unloaded/loaded as needed.

Good luck! If you need further help, please post back. Otherwise, thanks for rating FixYa!

No cd rom on laptop to download software for iriscan mouse

The driver software is not available online so here are your options:
1. contact I.R.I.S. directly, explain your situation and ask them for a downloadable version. - http://www.irislink.com/c2-2444-189/I-R-I-S--Support---Technical-Support-Contact.aspx

2. Take the CD to another computer and transfer to USB stick

3. Take the CD to another computer and email yourself the driver (could be a little large)

4. Take CD to another computer and copy to a network location

Most of these contain having access to another computer - I suggest that you contact the company directly.

I can't get half of my omnitech flexible keyboard to work

if its a usb keyboard you might need a PS2 usb keyboard adapter they are cheap you can purchase one on Ebay or your closest computer outlet for 2 - 3 dollars

Click start control panel keyboard hardware make sure you have the right keyboard selected
or you might have uninstall the keyboard then restart your computer then reinstall it and its drivers
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboard you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours

http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html

it might take some time being a freeware driver solution

note: it will find all of your outdated drivers

this is a free driver solutions

hope this helps

The mouse has stopped working /responding--what could be the issue? Does this take batteries? I cannot find a place that they would go...

Logitech uses either 1 or 2 AAA batteries or 1 or 2 AA batteries.
The way to change them is:
1. locate the oblong button on the bottom (usually near the palm end) of the mouse.
2. Press and hold the button
3. Lift off the cover (top) from the palm end.
4. Replace the batteries as indicated inside the cover.
5. Reinstall the cover. Be sure to catch the little tabs under the buttons.
6. There may be a reconnect button also (small red and recessed) you may have to reset the connection after changing the battery.

Kensington wireless mouse doesn't work on Mac laptop.

Kensington wireless mouse is compatible with this system:

PC-Windows® 98, Me, 2000, or XP with USB port
USB Macintosh® with OS 10.1.5 or later
USB Macintosh® with OS 8 and 9 device will only function as a 1-button mouse

If you buy this item you have a disk utility on it and provide the software to run on the system. If not you can download it at this site: http://us.kensington.com/html/4398.html

Vx problem:movement

First try this
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
If that doesn't do it theen try this.
Normal 0 Disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
