Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook
If the laptop works with the charger plugged in but will not recharge the battery, then the mainboard in this case would be faulty.
the laptop might work off battery power, but does not charge on this laptop, it indicates the mainboard is faulty.
To repair the mainboard you would need a very skillfull repairer, most people will just replace the mainboard for you. I do not know how much such a repairer would ask of you to repair it.
I've seen some repairers offering motherboard repair in Ebay. Maybe one of those people could repair it, maybe not.
If you are outside of warranty the solution is most likely replace mainboard. Unless you get lucky and find a repairer willing to take a look at it.

See if there is a bios update for it.
Go to the acer site and check for that model.
The only other thing that it could be is the power jack inside the machine. You can replace it yourself but I dont recommend it.
