My husband tried to fix it himself but was unable to do it. so he did the next best thing. He took the machine to an approved repair workshop who fixed it within the hour for the princely sum of £65.00. It was a little expensive but it did save getting a divorce!

How do I get a cd out of a cd rom that is jammed in but the drive will open?

There is a small pin size hole between the tray and the eject button. Push it with a paper clip and manually pull out the tray. 12e679d7-0444-4257-8340-46f126b73236.jpg

After printing a CD lable, I get a paper jam or CD/DVD tray jam, when the tray is already removed for the next CD. I must re power the printer to print one or two CD

As I already printed several hundred CD/DVD the leading marker on the tray was badly marked. Tried to clean it with an eraser but I got very bad result. I tough I could paint it with some white paint but instead I use micro correction tape and white the marker. I had it working for 10 CD in a row, not bad for a cheap patch.

Where can I order a new CD/DVD tray

Disabling the fax function

You can set the fax portion of the machine to manual receive like this:
"User tools"
"fax features" ok
"reception settings" ok
"switch reception mode" ok
"Manual reception" ok
"user tools" to exit
Thia will prevent the machine from picking uo any incoming faxes

....However, if the machine is jamming trying to print a 'fax' report, it will jam regardless of the feature you are using -they are unrelated. Depending on the cause of the jam, it could be a specific tray that is causing the problem, so you may want to remove the paper from that tray, and see how it works. The other reason, that is common for jams from one particular tray is that the size is set incorrectly. Check that the paper size dial on the tray is set for the appropriate size in the tray (including orientation).

If none of this helps, please describe the location of the jams, and I may be able to give further advice.

I had a cd jam, took cd changer apart, now the door won't close all the way

Hi artzelda

The machine tray carousel may have stepped out of alignment after jamming on the dislodged CD and is catching on the CD transport assembly on the way in. on the way in. This problem can generally be solved by retiming the tray mechanism. This is one of those jobs that takes some perseverance and an understanding of the transport. If you don't have a head for mechanical things, this may not be something you can fix yourself. A HiFi repair guy would. Should be minor charge.

I am more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about it, please get back to me here, or use the ASK function to go straight to me :) If you are still unsure, have problems, or we need to look at the situation more deeply, then before you give a rating for this advice, hit the ASK button Thanks for using FixYa, If you consider the advice I have given you as sound, a FixYa rating is a great reward for my efforts to help you. Cd tray jammed

If you turn it off at the mains, wait a few seconds then turn it back on. As soon as you turn the power on, try and press the button for the tray to open. If this dont work, you will have to open up your system and remove this disc yourself. Good luck.
