Why is red light flashing on data?

The copier is detecting a network request. whether there is one still or was one and now it is looping back on that can usually be cleared by unplugging your network ethernet cable then ether clearing your Que or powering down the machine. reverse order and make sure you have a blinking green light on your Network Interface Card NIC what the cable plugs into on the copier side. Obviously tell your office manager you are clearing out the printer Que before you do, there might be something important headed that way. ;-)

Xerox workcentre 5745 network controller boots to 75% then fails and the reboot message comes up.

Try the following:
1. Power down the device
2. AFTER it is COMPLETELY powered off (can take up to 2 minutes), unplug the power cord from the wall.
3. Wait 5 minutes with the machine unplugged.
4. AFTER 5 FULL minutes have expired, plug the machine back in and turn it back on.

If this fails to restore functionality please call for service.

Our Sharp MX C311 gives me the error : Network Interface is out of service. What is wrong with it?

sounds like your NIC card is bad, no network cable plugged in or the network port in the wall is not an active network port.

When I try to print I get the message " Printer

Check the following steps to fix printer offline error :

Go to system settings and select the 'Printer' option.

Right-click on the printer and enable the 'Use Printer Online' function.

Cancel all the printing jobs till that moment and redo the process.

Sometimes the 'Printer Offline' message occurs due to a 'Job Stuck' issue.

Check all network connections and functions.

Be sure the network interfaces work properly.

Turn the printer off and on to see whether the device is working properly.

When I switch on my copier I get this sentence: DOWNLAOD STANDBY and it des'nt work

Hello Mustafa,
This could be an ugly situation as your copier has suddenly decided that it needs to load new system software. Why this has happened is not knowable as there are many possibilities. If you have a service contract and a trained tech to come by then YOU NEED HIM/HER as loading new system software should fix the problem. But if you don't (which I assume is the case) then we shall proceed. If you know how to use the REMOTE USER INTERFACE(RUI) then you should use it to back up your settings on the copier by going to "additional functions" and exporting all the settings for your copier and storing your address book, user settings and all other customizations you may have to a folder on your PC because the fix I about to give you will wipe all that out, but it should get rid of your problem. You may also wish (I recommend it) to walk up to the device and go into additional functions and go to "reports" and print out your network configuration as this will go away as well.Ok, we are going to "clear" the memory of your device which will reset everything including the whatever "garbage data" that is causing this message. Lets enter service mode. Press "additional functions" once then press the number 2 and release, then the number 8 and release then additional functions again. You will see the screen change. Use the left or right arrow buttons below the screen to scroll until until you see "CLEAR". Press the ok button between the arrows. Now scroll till you see "ALL". Press "OK". This will totally reset the machine. Depending on what kind of system software exists on the copier you may see please wait but the device will reboot on it's own. After it does, unplug the copier and then plug it back in. This should fix your problem. Now you need to reload the settings by manually doing so. First load your network settings (IP address, subnet mask etc...) and then power off and on again once your network settings have been input. Wait 60 seconds and then you can use the remote user interface to import(restore) the settings you had previously exported so your addresss book and stuff will be restored..This should make everything ok. But I recommend that some time soon you have the most recent version of system software loaded on your device and NO an end user can't do it. I wish you the best and if I helped you please let "FIXYA" know it. . :-) SPINAL

AUI (attachment unit interface) is the 15-PIN
physical connector interface between a computer's network interface card (NIC)
and an Ethernet
cable. On 10BASE-5
("thicknet") Ethernet, a short cable is used to connect the AUI on the computer
with a transceiver on the main cable. In 10BASE-2
or "thinnet" Ethernet networks, the NIC connects directly to the Ethernet
coaxial cable at the back of the computer.
IEEE Hope that helps, Thanks, Sea Breeze
the Ethernet standard, defines the AUI 15-pin physical layer interface. This
interface is also called a DB-15 interface or a DIX interface (DIX refers to the
three major companies who helped standardize Ethernet: Digital Equipment
Corporation, Intel, and Xerox

Hi do you have RUI system installed on your copier?

For doing that you need service support tool.

In other scenario, the RUI interface on your copier is faulty, upgrade the whole system, language, printer, and RUI interface.
- also need the service support tool

If does not help replace the HDD and do the procedure again.

Did you check your internet security parameters, connection, restrictions,...?

Pls. help us,how can we used land cord to connect printer konica 7035 to computer. we already down load a driver from internet . we try many times to check sa IP address and test print but still we cannt...

Using arp command (UNIX)
From UNIX you can use the arp command to assign the IP address to the network interface card.
Perform the following procedure:
1. Turn off the print controller and the main body printer.
2. Log in as superuser on a host on the same subnet as the network interface card. However, if
the server resides on another subnet, complete this procedure to store the IP address in the
network interface card.
3. Find the MAC address of the network interface card. The address is printed on the Status Page
each time you turn on the print controller and the main body printer.
4. Edit the hosts file (usually /etc/hosts) or use NIS or DIS to add IP address and node name of
the network interface card. See the network administrator for the IP address. For example, a
network interface card with a name of printfast and an IP address of has the
entry: printfast
5. Add an entry to the arp cache for IP address and Mac address of the network interface card,
arp -s 0:40:c8:0:0:ff
RS6000 (AIX) requires the ether option after arp -s. For example:
arp -s ether 0:40:c8:0:0:ff
6. Check the print controller and the main body printer to see that the network interface card is connected
to the network. Turn on the print controller and the main body printer.
7. Send a ping command to the network interface card to verify it is running on the network, as
for example:
ping or ping printfast
The network interface card will not respond to this ping command but it will read its IP address
from the packets.
8. Turn off the print controller and the main body printer and back on again and then send the
ping command again to verify that the network interface card obtained its IP address. A confirmation
message displays as: is alive
9. Remove the entry from the arp cache using the following command. Specify the network
interface card either by its IP address or by its name, for example:
arp -d printfast
Konica Network Interface Card INSTRUCTION MANUAL 2-5
Chapter 2 Setting Up the Network Interface Card
Using MAP
By using MAP (Management Access Program) included the CD-ROM that comes with the network
interface card, you can automatically identify the network interface card on the network and set it up
for TCP/IP by using Web Utilities. To use this method to assign the IP address to the network interface
card, the following procedure should be performed on computers in advance:
• TCP/IP correctly configured
• IPX/SPX-compatible protocol installed
• MAP installed and MAP setup correctly executed
About how to set up TCP/IP and how to install IPX/SPX-compatible protocol, refer to Windows Help
menus for example. For MAP, refer to “Using MAP (Management Access Program)” in this chapter.
To change an IP address already assigned to a network interface card, you can not use the
arp command. Use Web Utilities instead. These methods also allow you to set up subnet
mask and default gateway, etc.
Using NIManage
Refer to “Chapter 7 AppleTalk Configuration”.
 Accessing Web Utilities
The network interface card is provided with an HTTP server having Web Utilities. By accessing this server,
you can change settings of the printing system. There are two ways to access Web Utilities, through a Web
Browser, either through Netscape Navigator, version 4.x or greater or through Internet Explorer, version 4.x
or greater.
• Use MAP to have the network interface card on the networks identified automatically, thereby accessing
Web Utilities.
• Use a Web Browser to type the IP address assigned to the network interface card, and thereby access
the Web Utilities. For example:
If you designate the proxy setting in your Web Browser you cannot access the Web Utilities.
For more information see your network adminisrator.
Chapter 2 Setting Up the Network Interface Card
2-6 Konica Network Interface Card INSTRUCTION MANUAL
 Using MAP (Management Access Program)
A utility called MAP is provided on the CD-ROM that comes with the network interface card.
This program automatically identifies the network interface cards on the networks and lists them on Web
Browser screen. From this Web Browser list you can select a network interface card to change its settings
and control Web Utilities.

Network & Speed Problem

I suspect that the network interface card failed, & that's why you get the error message. Try disabling it from the BIOS & see if the error message disappears. If it did, then you have a failing network interface card & need to install anew one.
