Oven cleaned but will not open,has been cleaning for three hours


Hello,

This is a safety feature of the oven. When the oven cools down you should be able to unlatch and open the oven. I accidentally did this (closed the latch) when cooking a pizza, fortunately I turned to oven off and the pizza did not burn.

When cooking Pizza at 220c the top burns-even though the element is on the top and the pizza in the bottom third of the oven, and the base is uncooked - this also takes 30 minutes to cook?


you are using the broiler to cook it,the upper element is the broiler,the lower one is for the oven,turn on the oven so that the bottom element is on,if it doesnt work,then that is the problem

I have a licoln 1000 pizza oven it will cook outside of pizza not bottom why


check the fingers especially the bottoms ones , they could be clogged with dirt or pizza particles. just clean them

How do I start the oven? I want to cook a pizza


Open the oven and make sure it is empty nod one rack is near the middle level. Turn the knob that says OFF to BAKE. Then turn the knob with all the numbers to the temperature that Theo Sri toons on the box tell you to use. Allow the oven to heat up for 10 minutes. It may beep when it is up to temp or a red light will turn off to let you know it is ready. Put the pizza in the oven on middle rack. Take it out according to box instructions ( usually 8 to 15 minutes). That pizza out by sliding it onto a plate. Turn off the oven and eat the pizza. If it is not done completely, leave it in longer next time. Enjoy

Pizza dough spilled into top of oven.


Pizza sauce tends to be highly conductive and corrosive. If it got into the keypad or control board it is probably causing a short. It may be able to be carefully cleaned with alcohol but some disassembly is required.

OVEN WILL NOT BAKE , IT WILL BROIL


I have the same problem, I took off the back panel and noticed that the EOC (electronic oven control) board is blackened and most likley need to be replaced. My wife was cooking a pizza and she smelled a burning plastic smell, she looked in the oven and saw the pizza on fire and smoke bellowing from the control panel area. So i unplugged the oven and saw the circuit board did start on fire and fortunatly it went out before serious damage. No matter what you set the oven on the display shows it as being correct, but only the top element comes on and it is on HIGH!!!! DO NOT BUY FRIDGIDAIRE!!!!

We run coffee shop, we already have turbochef conventional oven. We only bake cookies, crossant and sandwhiches. We are planning to have pizza. Is anyway you make adjustment for Pizza


Dipending upon what kind pizza you want to use.

KitchenAid Oven Temp.- Bottomside of Pizza or Cake stays uncooked


I have a 2yo Kitchenaid oven, and my advice is first, don't use convection for cakes or pizza. Use the thermal oven. For pizza preheat to 500 degrees, then put the pizza on the lowest rack, and bake for 7-8 minutes.This way the bottom browns, and the top doesn't get broiled from the top element coming on during the bake cycle.

As for cakes, again place them on the low rack so that they get bottom heat. I keep my eye on the oven and when the broil element comes on I stick a piece of foil over the cake until it goes off. Otherwise it will set the top and the cake won't rise as much. Even doing that cakes don't rise as much as they did in my old oven, and they brown too much on top.

The convection oven does a good job of cookies, and the broil mode is okay.

I wish I hadn't bought this oven, but I didn't know about the upper (broil) element coming on during the bake cycle until I'd had it for awhile, and it was too late to return it.

If anyone's shopping for an oven, ask questions, and don't get one that maintains the oven temperature by activating the broil element when baking.

A good pre-heated pizza stone will help cook the crust better when the pizza is placed right on the stone. As for the cheese burning, check the actual temp. of the oven with a good thermometer.
