It certainly is, but your going to have to devote some time to the project. You'll need to take the unit apart very carefully and remove all the coins before reassembling the console. It may take less time to just drop it off at a repair man's, and pick it up another time.

Every time a game is put in the Wii says 'unable

You could try a 3rd party slot cleaner, or use the tried-and-true retro Nintendo console method of blowing into it.

How scratched is the disk? If it's really beat up, that might be the problem right there.

I had a similar problem before, and neither of my methods worked. I had to get it fixed by Nintendo themselves. Hopefully you don't have the worst-case scenario!

Wii stopped working no lights...nothing unplugged it, plugged it back in....nothing. Can someone help

My dear,

I would suggest to check your adapter whether it is working fine or not. If it is and even then the Wii is having problem then I am afraid it needs to get fixed. You can take it to the Repair Shop which will cost you high and then would also take 2-3 weeks time.

On the contrary, I would recommend you to o for Nintendo Wii Complete Repair Guide that covers almost all major problems of Wii and their solutions. It fixes your problems within no time and is available online. Wii Repair Manual has got hundreds of pictures and instructions from which you can repair your console at home without any hurdle. Try it, I tried it for my sister and now we not only fix our gaming console, but we also repair others' Wii and make huge money out of it.

My son flicked pennies into the Wii console...I would like to know how to get them out. Thanx!

Hmm... I guess your Wii is worth a little more now! ... but seriously, you're kind of at a lose/lose situation here because this is going to require opening the Wii either way.

Suggested Way: (This may not be what you'd like to hear but I'll explain why)

You'll need to send it to the Nintendo support center provided from the support number that came with your Wii Console and send it in to get the pennies removed. Costly? Probably...

So why is this suggested? When you open your Wii you automatically void the waranty; you also run the risk of either breaking/tearing something and not putting it back together properly.

I cannot tell you to take it apart, but if you do, please be very careful. There is a very flimsy ribbon cable that runs with the disc feed and the laser that reads the disc is very-uber-mega-super sensitive (no, but seriously it is really sensitive, do not touch it).

What Not To Do:

Do not turn it upside down and try to shake them out. There are many pieces that are very brittle, hence the hard plastic casing surrounding it. These pennies sliding around in it could easily cause a disconnect and ruin your system, costing you even more when you need to send it out for repairs.

Hope everything goes good for you!

Respectfully,

Don

My Wii is jammed with pennies.

you'll need to contact the technical suppport team of the shop you bought the game from and tell them what happened and see if they'll be able to sort it out.

Wii makes grinding noise, when disc is inserted, it immediately ejects it, accepts it back in, then ejects it onto the floor while making horrible grinding noises

There is either something inside of your Wii's DVD Drive blocking the insertion of the disc, or some of the gears inside of the DVD drive are damaged. Lots of times, one of the kids will stuff a penny, credit card, or some other foreign object inside of the Wii's disc slot. The following website sells the DVD drive mechanisms and does repairs on the Wii as well:

When you put the disk in the wii console, it shoots right back out.

There must be something in the drive slot. I have removed papper and pennies from wii systems and this is how they respond when something is in the way upon disk insertion. The gears also could be worn to a point that the tray no longer engages and the disk is rejected. The only way to tell is to dissasemble the wii. Tool kits to do this can be purchased on ebay. Good Luck.
