Something may be stuck in the pump impeller causing it to make a clicking or rattling noise. Disconnect power then remove the lower front access panel to access the pump filter and the pump impeller.

Remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Drain the water into a bucket or shallow pan and lay a piece of towel under the pump filter prior to the removal of the filter. Turn the filter knob counterclockwise to remove and clean it. Reach in the pump to check if it is restricted or detached from the pump motor spline. Replace the pump assembly if the impeller is broken or detached.

Washer does not drain, at that point in the cycle the machine makes a clicking noise.

You may have a blocked or jammed drain pump filter.
Check the drain filter as described in the manual. Access is via the small hatch at floor level. Make sure the machine has as little water as possible, because it will empty via the pump when you check the filter. Lean the machine back against the wall to help contain what water is in the machine.
Unscrew the pump filter, check and clean. Also check that the impeller is not jammed by a coin or a hairclip or similar. (That could be the clicking noise.) Replace filter and test. Sometimes the impeller comes off the pumpshaft. In this case the pump motor would need to be replaced by a serviceman...
Good luck....Nomess

Water pump failure?

The water pump drain motor has something stuck in it or it has gone bad like most LG parts.
Remove the drain pump and look for any foreign object to be removed.
Check the drain pump for a failed pump motor.
LG is pretty.

The dishwasher wont stop drying to drain . The darin is not blocked

check the following:---- Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit
  1. Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
  2. Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
  3. Check timer for not letting the dishwasher pause. ( not all dishwashers )
  4. Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
  5. If you have recently installed a new garbage disposal, check knock-out plugat connection.
  6. Check pump impeller for damage.
  7. Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.

    thanks.

Wont drain hear clicking noise

Hi

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:

Drain line/air gap A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Pump Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.

Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

Drain valve and/or solenoid Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

Belt One brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. If this belt is broken or has fallen off, replace it.

Motor If the motor isn't turning or working, the unit won't drain. First check to be sure you have power to the dishwasher. If not, see the section "It doesn't work at all." If the motor hums but doesn't turn, it may need to be replaced.

Some dishwashers are susceptible to getting stuck if you don't run them regularly. If you haven't run the dishwasher for more than a week, you may need to manually spin the motor to free it up. If the motor is defective, you need to replace it. Dishwasher motors can't be serviced.

Timer Part of what the timer does is control the motor and drain valve. If the timer doesn't work properly, the water may not drain and you need to replace the timer. This problem is uncommon.

Rylee

Dishwasher not draining and making a noise

Ok, normally, when you hear abnormal noises and the draining has stopped, this will point to the pump/motor assembly. this assembly , basically, runs together in unison. the pump/motor are as one and if the motor is malfunctioning, the pump will not drain properly. this noise is coming from the pump housing. There are many parts that are located in this housing and one fragile part that can cause issues is the Impeller. this piece provides the pump action that moves the water during drainage. If the sleeve that connects to the Impeller becomes stripped, the motor drive bolt will simple spin freely, causing this noise and no drainage. The motors fine but, you will have to replace the pump assembly in order for this noise to stop and the normal draining cycle to return. just to be safe, check all the drainage hoses as well.

please rate and god bless:)

Washer will not drain or spin motor making clicking noise

Likely has debris in the filter.
Open the bottom access panel (3 screw on bottom front lip)
open the filter access and be ready for some water spill ,have towels.
clean and check the pump impellers for freedom of movement.
if you still have noise after this you may have to go deeper past the pump and remove the hoses as the debris can be past the pump now.
Or take the machine outside and run water up the pump using a water hose to clear it. be inventive
