How to make a ''£'' when in British English

Alt 0163 is £. Numbers must be entered on the keypad, not the top row of numbers on the keyboard.
In Word you could also set a key you don't use such as ^ to produce £ so you don't have to bother with entering codes.

I recently installed a new printer, but when I try to print it is printing to a file and not printing hard copy

Go into Start > Control Panel >Printers
Choose your new printer by clicking on it once. The right-click on it and choose Set As Default Printer.

Save your changes and from now on, this will be the printer you will print to automatically.

Entering street names

The Garmin may not recognize the street name you are entering due to a scroll error. When you type, it constantly looks up streets beginning with the letters you already entered. If you happen to hit a wrong letter, it automatically errors out. Have you updated the unit recently? If not try that first.

Load USB drivers to PC (if not done already), connect Garmin, turn Garmin on, run webupdater, follow on screen prompts.

Typing street names

It's predictive text, if you have spelt the name properly it should be in the suggested street names. If it's not then it's not on the unit.
