Question about PNY Optima Pro 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card

1 Answer

I bought a PNY Optima SD 2GB card, loaded it in my Lumix camera and took a number of very important pictures (of my engagement) which is let me take and I can see in the review mode of my camera. I then attempted to uload the pics onto my laptop and it tells me my card needs to be formatted but formatting it will erase my pictures. I CANNOT lose these once in a lifetime pictures ---how can I resolve this problem????

For safety I would take the SD card to a local Photoshop and see if they could print the Pictures for you. If they can, then they should be able to copy the data from one card to a new one. Try then to upload the pictures from the new card to your computer. If this does not work then you have a defective cad reader on your computer. You could buy an inexpensive external card reader which plugs in into your USB port.Aprox $25 at Walmart.

I have a PNY optima sd 4gb memory card and it tells me on my samsung camera card locked. What does this mean? and how do i unlock it?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a PNY optima sd 2gb memory card and it tells me on my samsung camera card error. What does this mean?

My Sanyo camera says my sd card it full when it absolutely is not. Ive even tried uploading pictures to my computer and it tells me there is an issue. It just suddenly did this one day and I think I've lost about 150 photos from Easter and other things that I can't get back and worse I can't take any pictures with my camera now.

I have a Nikon coolpix. The memory card is PNY optima SD 2GB. I get a message saying Memory card is write protected. I have no idea how this happened or how to get rid of it.

SD cards have a sliding switch along one edge. Slide it toward the contacts to enable write, away from the contacts to protect.

If this doesn't do it, then there may be something wrong with the switch mechanism in the camera.

Also, make sure the contacts are clean.
