Yes; unplugged for 15 minutes, turned on, which had one benefit. Prior to the prolonged "off," had no panel read-out (it was blank). After re-start, got the message of error codes, which was now visible in panel.

major hardward failure is NOT good news. have had the 8599DN for several reliable years, and yes, it was purchased new from xerox with a major credit card.

    Thanks, Tim,

I will call Xerox tomorrow; as luck may have it (unusual, for me), I did buy it on my AmEx, and I don't believe that it was more than 5 years ago.
    Appreciate your interest and guidance,
    Larry

That is very bad indeed. Have you already tried unplugging the printer for a good 10 minutes, then replugging it in to see if it kick-starts the hardware?

If so let me know...

I was afraid you'd say something like that. Ok that error indicates major hardware failure inside the machine... How old is this machine? Did you happen to buy it with a major credit card (not a debit card)... I will explain all this when you reply.

    Thanks
    Tim

Was it more than 5 years ago? If I were you I would call my credit card company to inquire about extended electronics warranties... Most companies (American Express for example does on all cards) offer 5 years electronics warranties as long as you buy it on their card. Most consumers don't even realize this. I have successfully been refunded for 3 year old printers, 4 year old tvs, 2 year old home theater systems, and more just because I bought them with an American Express and then the unit died... They just issue a full refund for the unit.

Hopefully this is the case and it was less than 5 years ago.

    Thanks
    Tim

Xerox phaser 8500 error code 09, 038, 46:4597

Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black. (Your error indicates black ink loader failure)

Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.

Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using 8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick count faults.
Ink Loader will need replaced and then diagnostics entered to run "Clear ISC Fault" test to clear the error.

My Phaser 8500 will not print and has error 08,045,43:75066 - Anyone know what this means?

The Xerox support site indicates there is a paper jam to the printer, so you should check the paper tray, front and exit cover for any jammed paper then power off and back on the printer. Have a look here: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8500-8550/support/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64&fileLanguage=en

7,010.43:40975 error message for the Xerox Phaser 8500 printer.

The printhead is stuck in the tilted position. Did you have a power outage or turn it off by unpuging it? Not hard to fix but you have to tear it down and rehome everything. sometimes if you turn it off and turn it back on it will find home on itself. But rehomeing it works every time. If you dont know how to do this call a service center.

Hi i have phaser 8560, it gives me a error 09,038,46:62248, plese who can solve me the problem.

Hi there
The onlty thing I can find close to this is.
Acording to the manual its a ink loader error like your loading the wrong type of ink like the puzzles pieces arent matching and hitting the sensor flags right. Yours by the 8 is referring to the black ink. Anyway go to troubleshooting on the control panel. then to service tools. when in service tools press and hold the up arrow while still pressing the up arrow press the down arrow. the display should say hidden menus. go to diagnostic mode press enter go to funtion menu. then go to clear ISC fault and enter. ISC=ink stick count fault. I hope that helps. Just to let you know Ive had nothing but problems with third party ink and once its in the system its hard to get out so I would watch what im doing with my expensive equipment

Xerox phaser 8500 error 09.005.40:64314

Best way to do that is take a screw. I use a drywall screw, and twist them into the blocks and slide them back and out. Remove all of them, see if there is just one stuck or not compltely advanced in the loader. Then replace them all . That should clear the code.

If you have Warranty Still, CALL XEROX!!!, That error message indicates that you have a failed temprature sensor inside the print-head, 90% chance Xerox will have to replace print-head. Print head is VERY expensive to replace out of pocket ($500-800+)

That is a print head calabration error.
Most likely the print head has failed.
Those also are extremely expensive parts you put into it.
