The seal in the drum has failed allowing water to leak into the bearings causing them to rust. Once the bearings are no longer round, the bearing noise will get louder. To replace, the washer needs to be taken apart and the drum needs to be removed in order to replace the bearings. Can be a difficult and expensive repair. Get a few estimates before deciding whether it is worth reparing. Sorry.

Drum bearing noisy on spin

Remove the drum drive belt, and spin the drum by hand.
If it is noisy, or feels rough, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This a major repair.
Hope this helps.

Aquarius 1100 wm63 very noisy spinning

Remove rear cover of washer.
Remove drive belt.
From inside the drum, spin the drum by hand, if it is noisy or feels rough, then main drum bearings have failed.
If no noise, then possibly motor bearings noisy.
Hope this helps Thankyou.

LG direct drive washing machine is getting increasingly noisy when at the spin stage

generally when a machine gets noisy in spin cycle it is due to bearings being worn open the door with the machine empty and try lifting the the drum upwards if it moves then it will be the bearings

Noisy spin cycle

The spin bearing is the culprit. Water works down through the tub seal onto the bearing.

Wm noisy

drum bearings, check and investigate, remove drive belt and then rotate, if still noisy then yes its the drum bearings, if the noise stops when the belt removed the motor bearings are faulty costly repair on most models, sorry oh there is also the possibility there is something lodged within the drum cavity between the lining and the drum casing
