Backlight Doesn't Work

I've had this phone for about 2 weeks and suddenly the backlight for the keypad won't work. It seems as though there's a short in it because it'll come on once a day for a spit second and then go back off. Can you help??

There may be a short, but also the wires may not be connecting probably, i'd say tke it in if there's a warranty, if not then you may have to settle for either it never workign reliably, or trying to fix it by yourself or with a friend.

Backlight display not working

Hey Dannes1956,

The Motorola V3m has a light sensor, which is visible just above the right soft key -- the key above the CLR button. This light sensor turns the backlight on when you press a key in the dark and disables the keypad backlight when you are in a well-lit area.

Your phone sounds like it's operating normally. I believe they disabled the option to activate or deactivate that feature.

Hope this helps,
cHiPz.
