Question about Bosch Evolution HGS7152U Stainless Steel Gas Kitchen Range

Open Question

Yesterday, following a receipe I preheated the oven to 500 degrees then put in the roast with the temp probe in it set to 140 degrees and immediately turned the temp. down to 225 degrees.About 50 minutes later went to check on it.When I opened the stove a fire ball blew out of the door.Fortunatly no damage was done to me except a little singed hair. After that happened the stove seemed to work properly with no more incidents. What may have caused that fireball? The best I can tell there are no gas leaks. We haven't ever had any problems with this stove before.Hopefully you can help me with an answer. Thank you. Hoot Reynolds

SOURCE: My oven wont light

The problem is likely a faulty igniter. It's an easy fix, though an expensive part to replace (about $75 from APP). I had the exact problem and found this answer on another site. Just check out your igniter (under the plate on the bottom of your oven.. remove the screws in the back and lift off that plate).. the igniter is a long flat piece that should be glowing red.. if not.. that's your problem. Good luck.

SOURCE: oven will not heat i set the temp , turn it on,

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

How to roast a beef terder loin in oven

This is a grilling forum, but I'll answer anyway. Season the roast liberally with plenty of salt and pepper. insert a meat probe and roast low and slow, perhaps 300, until it hits 10 degrees below what you're shooting for (pull at 115 for rare to medium-rare) and tent very loosely with foil so the steam can vent out. While it rests, crank the oven up to 500 or as close as your oven will go to that. When it's at full heat and the roast has rested at least 20 minutes, put it back in and blast it for a few minutes until it looks nice and crusty. You really don't need to rest it again before carving, though it won't hurt.

Cooking a 6lb beef tenderloin to medium in oven

Cooking times are dependent on much more than weight. The shape of the roast, the thickness, the uniformity, the outside temperature, the quirks of your grill or oven... the only way to cook a roast properly is with a probe-type thermometer. You decide what temperature you want the center of your roast and cook it until it reaches that temperature. The lower the cooking temperature, the more evenly the roast will cook. 300 degrees will take awhile but the outcome will be excellent. You can Google roasting temps to give you a general idea, but if you use a recipe time, you will overcook or undercook your roast, probably, 60% of the time. Probe thermometers are cheap and reliable.

How long do I bake an 8lb shoulder pork roast?

hi Dianna.
Roast in a preheated 500 degree (F) oven for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and roast for an additional 30 minutes per pound. Total cooking time for an 8lb roast should be about 4hrs and 20 minutes. Remove the pork roast from the oven and let rest for 30 minutes

Ihave a 2.3kg pork roastt how long should ihave it in the oven and at what temperature

here's no magic number. You should get an inexpensive meat thermometer with a probe that goes to an alarm outside the oven (or to an app on your phone). Season it to taste, then put it in the oven at 350 (F) until the middle of the roast reaches about 10 degrees (F) below where you want it. I prefer my pork around 140 degrees (F), juicy and slightly pink. Then pull it from the oven and let it rest, lightly tented with foil, for about 20 minutes to give the juices time to redistribute and residual cooking to take place. Meanwhile, crank up the oven to 450 or 500. When the roast has rested, put it back in the oven to brown for a few minutes.

Tried to cook with probe setting however the actual temp would read 220 degrees right away when it starts to cook so it will switch to warm. probe in middle of roast, tried to reposition probe but still...

The Warm is the actual temp of the roast. The roast will need to exceed X amount of degrees before it reads out for you. Some are 100 some are 120. I would refur to your manual or their web site for the actual threshold when it will actually start to read.
Thanks,
Shawn
