Question about Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I took several pictures this morning. Then I plugged the camera into the cradle and pressed USB port and connected the line from the cradle to the computer, an operation I have completed numerous times. This time nothing happened. No "import" showed up. I looked at help in iPhoto. It said to turn on the camera. I tried, but it would not turn on. I took it off the cradle and tried many times. No luck. Have I somehow accidentally locked the camera? Does it even have a lock feature?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Can I charge a Casio Exilim battery throug USB to my PC

No. The EX-Z60 does not charge the battery through the USB port. You need to use the supplied charger. Alternatively, if you have the EX-Z60DX cradle, you can plug the camera into the cradle and plug the cradle into a wall outlet. However, using the cradle will not let you charge the camera through the USB port either.

Where is the usb port on thefinepix z can u show

You won'tfind a USB port on any camera. But you will find a tiny socketinto which a plug goes and the cable connected to it has a USB plug on the other end. So Look for a small socket and that is where you pplug the USB cable into. Try looking at the sides of the camera.

Camera No Longer Being Recognized

Does it connect to the PC via a USB cable? Then try connecting to a different USB port or if you have try a new USB cable. I had the same problem with my IXUS 400 and changing to a new USB port, directly to the PC - not a USB hub, it worked. However now I have several issues with my camera - no sound or image on the LCD screen, but I think these are unrelated.

Where is port to connect USB cable?

I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I have put together a picture that shows where the mini-USB plug is supposed to be attached to the camera. I hope it helps. This picture actually shows plugging the AV cable into the receptical, but right behind it is the mini-USB port. This is where you connect the USB cable. It looks like you have to lift the flap on the corner to reveal the plugs.

Camera Wont turn On: Is it stuck in USB mode? How do i fix it?

I was able to get past this problem by removing and reinserting the battery. This caused, in effect, a hard reset of the camera, which let me power it up fresh and take pictures again. Of course, it's not exactly reassuring that the problem arose in the first place,
