SOURCE: The oven door won't close

the clips on these oven are canyilver type they can move out of position if opened abruptly .to refit correctly lift door upwards while pushing the bottom of the door inwards.you should feeel a strong resistance from the door springs.there should be a notch n the bottom of the hinge this should slot over the oven frame.if this does not solve the problem then the springs have probably gone on the hinges and will need to replace both hinge assemblies

Drill out the rivets with a power drill use nuts bolts and lockwashers where the rivets were Once the door is back on:
loosen all the door screws then bend the door diagonaly slightly to square it with the oven opening (don't worry you won't damage it) then tighten the door screws again check to see that the door is flush (no gaps)

How do I turn off the "key" icon on screen display Heartland Stove/Oven ?

The key is a lockout symbol. It appears when you set the oven to child lock mode ( Stops kids from opening the door and getting burnt) or when the oven gets over a certain temperature. (Stops you getting burnt) If you from have the instruction manual, it is xa bit difficult. You usually have to npress and hold 1 or more of the buttons in for a few seconds to unlock. I'm not sure which ones on your oven.

I have the Legacy model 3530-3630 gas/electric stove.....my problem is this: for the past few days there is what sounds like a fan running in the oven. This runs constantly whether I am using the oven...

This is the convection fan. My hearland range does this too, after power loss in the house. I cancel it by starting and then stopping convection mode. ie. hit convection (fan icon) start (running man) and then cancel (X).

Microwave safety after repainting

Too generic...Did you use the high-temp appliance enamel recommended, or a spray...or worse?

Was the rust inside where it can contact food through the circulating air, or on the outer body?

First thought based on how I read the question: Never use that machine again...but that's based on the word "in" instead of "on my microwave".

If the rust was around the door frame, outside the seals, and you used an enamel (of course) then you may be OK...but...
Considering the fact that a cheap microwave is a drop in the bucket when compared to your family's health...Why risk it?
