Make sure your manual doesn't say something about inline filters, or a float that might be sticking in off position. Depending on how ice is made sometimes they have a float to where water rises so hight then gets shut off to freeze and form the ice.

under the freezer door there is a nob like thing. turn it and pull on it. instead of replacing it, rinse it out under runing tap water and put it back were you removed it from and push the fridge light botton 5X in a row

I had turned the water feed off on our Kitchen Aide Frig for several days while repairing another appliance in the kitchen and then discovered the aqua sense ice maker stopped working because it wasn't getting any water fed in, even after pressure was restored to the water line...appreciate your heads up as to the possibility of a frozen water feed...you helped me identify the problem
Nothing in the manual on this possibility, but without disconnecting power to the frig, I cleared off the top shelf in the freezer and warmed the area with a hair dryer..on our large side by side, it appears that the water is fed to our ice maker from the top of the frig on the right side...I warmed the area for three 5 minute periods...about 10 - 15 minutes apart...I noticed water starting to leak into the tray (I assume from the melting) and carefully sponged it out so I could gauge the success of the melting...
I am not sure if it made a difference, but half way thru the process I also powered the machine off (from the controls on the refrig side) as I wasn't sure if a reset cycle was necessary....about an hour later, the machine self feeder filled up the tray and it is once again making ice...
I would caution going slowly with the heat and concentrated hair dryer so as not to damage any of the plastic...other than that, this was pretty easy..
