SOURCE: Saniflo works in short burst when not flushed eg in night

Sound to me that the toilet is over filling and in doing so water will over flow down the pan. This is definately what I would check first!

You need a new capacator. The motor is trying to run but does not have enough electricty to get the motor up to full speed.

SOURCE: NOISY SANIFLO

Always an issue, guessing it is on a tiled floor? or up against a tiled wall?

I put some thin foam / Bubble wrap underneath and behind mine to dampen the vibrations. It also helps if you box the unit in and use foam to quieten the noise (on top and around the unit). Depending upon how long you have had it, it may also need a clean out or possibly even the motor bearings are getting a bit worn, creating some noise with the excess movement.

Good Luck

SOURCE: The saniflo keeps cutting in even when not flushed

Water pressure makes the unit kick on and off. It will turn on by itself if water is somehow draining back into the pump. It could be water leaking from the toilet tank into the bowl and from the bowl to the pump or the flapper on the check valve inside the discharge elbow may be stuck open or could be defective and allowing waste water to drain back into the pump, once it builds up enough water pressure inside the pump, the unit will kick on and off by itself.

You are right. With all of the energy saving plans going they think that the pump should not run every flush. That is why it is taking 3 flushes to turn on the pump.

may need a backflow preventer in the waste line under the sink..it is basically a ball on a spring..designed to make the water go only one way..I am guessing the wasteline was opened up with a plumbing snake..that pump may have too much backpressure from the head line..

Sanicompact motor operates continuously but bowl doesn't clear. Have emptied bowl manually and poured Saniflo cleaner in.

This problem occurs when the flush button is damp after cleaning the whole toilet with a shower. Solution: Wait till it dries up 2) if you have installed a main switch put it on and at the same time press the flush button.

My Saniflo sanicompact does not flush away, when i press the flush botton it does not work, the toilet buzzes all the time. when the water gets to a level it use to pump away but has stoped doing this.

saniflo buzzing all the time means that the motor is trying to run but cannot. indicates that something is blocking the pump impeller from rotating. unit needs to be removed, cleared and tested. if fault contiues you may blow the fuse (if you are lucky) otherwise the motor will eventually burn out. get this checked soon.

Running continually won't stop.

indicates a partially blocked system. Try cleaning and descaling first before getting into any mechanical solutions - note 80% of all saniflo problems are to do with dirty / blocked sytems and nothing to do with the mechanics / electronics. Saniflo actually sell saniflo cleaner - but like most plumbing systems - on going maintenance tends to get overlooked until a problem arises.

could be the thermal trip on the motor. Suggest you remove the lid and clean out any buildups inside. check for for a jam, around the blades like a tampon. Careful - they are very sharp!

My saniflow toilet is blocked and a plumber has told me i need a new motor. where can i get this and how much are they?

If you hear it making noise the motor isnt blown, but it could be clogged.

A quick an easy fix is by filling a 5 gallon bucket with hot water (or warm water) and slowly pouring it into the bowl. The warm water breaks the particles up further, and will help flush the unit out. Make sure you run the water alot after its cleared out (to flush the debris). You can do that by turning on the shower or sink (if connected). If you dont have a shower or sink just keep flushing the toilet.

We had that problem but the unit was built in and I could not get at it, the outlet pipe sounds like it is blocked, I cleared mine by connecting a pipe from the cold tap to the outlet pipe and flushing.
