Question about Compaq Presario 5000 PC Desktop
If its not booting into windows, To get around this problem, Unplug your system then remove the internal battery (Looks like a large round watch battery). Let it set for a minute or two then replace the battery and plug it in. It should start up fine now. It worked great for me, let me know how it works for you. Dan.

Well, here's the bad news. 1) Windows XP is not supported any more by Microsoft. (2) You need the original CD's that previously installed XP on your computer. If you can't get them from the previous owner, then you'll have to try and find some original CD's and reinstall XP on your machine, from scratch. (3) If your computer has what it needs, an option is to install Windows 7 on your computer - it depends how old your computer is and if it has the necessary hardware.
