Try to go to the setup for your printer then troubleshoot tab. There you could setup for cleaning the print heads and also the alignments.

Changed cartridge, received a code "P", says to install a new cartridge, but I just did install. Will not allow to do a clean print head.

hi, first turn the printer off and unplug it and let set for 30 mins. Ig that doesn't work try taking the cartridge out and reaching inside where you put the cartridges go and clean the print head with alcohol with a q-tip.

My printer is full of ink but when I print anything with colour it had horizontal lines going through it

This problem is pretty much the same as the question I answered a few seconds ago. I am going to give the same answer. Try running one or two ink cartridge cleaning cycles to help clear the air out of the ink nozzles. New cartridges aren't always perfect to begin with. After doing the cleaning try running a test print from your printer setup or installation properties window. If this print is good try printing another picture on a plain piece of paper rather than photo paper. If it prints OK then use your photo paper. I say this so you don't waste your photo paper. If you get lines in the test print, return the cartridge and see if the place you bought it from will exchange it for another one. If they will not exchange it try to get them to make the cartridge print correctly. You may have to bring your printer to them. This is the best advice I can give you, I hope it helps.

Tle lines through printed picture

Run the "Clean Printhead" command. If this doesn't fix the problem, contact Canon. The printhead is wearing out.

I am trying to print a picture and my pic is coming out with lines through it. Any suggestions?

Try this one, Turn on the printer, Take out the inks, remove the printhead, put back the printhead make sure it will snap and you hear a click, put the inks back, wait for the printer to initialize, Press the Menu button, look for Calibrate printer, then print calibration page, then scan it after. Load a regular paper. Then try to print a demo page by pressing Photo and Copy at the same for 5 seconds then let it go. If same problem persist call this no for further assistance 1800 421 6699

Horizontal colored lines through grayscale printed photos

Hi George,

It sound's like an ink-feed issue:

1) Dirty heads, even after cleaning
2) No-ink or poor quality ink
3) Damaged head: some are part of the cartridge, some are not
4) Air bubbles in ink

The test page is typically not as hi-res nor as saturated as a
photo print. The hi-res photo puts the greatest demand on the print head.

The color lines you see are actually lines of missing color,
where the head has failed to deposit ink, so one or two primary
colors are missing from the complete picture.

For example missing yellow will make a blue line.
Missing magenta will make a green line
Missing cyan will make a red line.... etc..

Clean the heads again and again, print again and again,
hoping to flush the system.

BUT, keep in mind that cleaning wastes huge amounts of
ink and tiny little cartridges of ink cost more than many new printers.

No yellow ink

It sounds like you have a clogged nozzle. First I must assume you are using refilled compatible cartridges. You should change the cartridges for genuine Epson ones before proceeding.

Run 4 or 5 head cleaning procedures through the printer driver. DO NOT DO THIS WITH COMPATIBLE INK IN as this can make the problem worse.

If the clog does not clear or show significant improvement after 3 or 4 cleans, contact this person for information on intensive head cleaning for your machine.

Diagnal Interference Lines

the diagonal lines represent some low frequency interference (close to the supply frequency - 60 hz). Try to keep the unit away from other appliances, especially the left back zone - where the tuner is. Also, you have to do some experiments on the cable connections: disconnect other cable devices (internet modem, home phone, other tv/tuners), one of them might inject these signals into the cable.
