Error 6000 means - The specified file could not be encrypted.
Solution: reinstall the printer driver.... it's better to install a upgraded version of driver...

This is a Carriage error take a good look at the carriage that the inks are in and see if they are sitting ok and also do the next incise there some thing there stopping it from moving.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.
And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Power down the printer completely. Unplug from wall.
Re-insert all cartridges. Then power up It takes a while for the test page to print. After that you should be good to go

I bought a Canon PRIXMA MP 140 about a year ago, but now it doesnt work
because when I want to scan the ScanGear box comes up with this error:
Printer maintenance in progress, scan after it is complete

SOURCE: my scan get error 21140
I believe this error is triggered when the cartridge(s) are not seated in the printer. Even if you are trying to scan something, the printer will not operate without having the cartridges seated in there slots. If you open the lid area that allows access to the cartridges, check to see that the cartridges are there. If they are, take each one out and reinstall it. Then try to perform the scan job again.
Hope this helps!
