Question about White Sewing Sewing Machines

I have a White Model 710. I paid $200 for repair. Repairman said he had to order an expensive part. Well nothing has changed. Motor always well oiled. sound great. Top stitch perfect, bottom stitch large loops. I tried adjusting tensions. What could be wrong?

Usually it is in your top threading, try totally rethreading your machine, there is a free copy of your manual on www.singerco.com (download it and save it, plus print it) and try following the directions on that. Do you trust your repairman? If, he charged you $200 and it still does not work, I think I would look elsewhere or call the State Attorney General's Office, and make him take care of you. That is not right because you can buy are new machine for less than that. You do have a good machine but if it repairs cost too much, time to let go

Need repairman for Elna Lotus TSP

Leaving a machine for that long unused causes this issue. The oil becomes dried out and gums up the mechanisms. The motor sounds off mostly because the grease is dry too.

It doesn't need to be an Elna mechanic... it just needs to be a GOOD sewing machine mechanic.

I need a schematic or photos of the under carriage of a Babylock BL1556. No repairman will fix mine. I have it disassembled at this time, and all of the new parts have arrived. Now I need see how it is...

the lower shaft (hook) gears should be no problems for any trained tech to replace and should not need any shafts to be removed. the pattern selector is usually sold as a module and factory set which is why you are getting the high quote as there is no guages or info on these settings. if you have the parts now have you gone back to the original repairman as i assume you have already paid for some of the work and this would be cheepest option for you. the last option is to send it to babylock as they have a repair techs who would be able to sort it out for you

I need a free manual for a white sewing machine model #710 I was given this machine without a manual. I have no idea how to thread it

Hi. I found a manual for your machine at http://www.sewingmanuals.com/
It won't be free (sorry) but it will be the most important $10.00 (plus shipping and handling) you can spend on your machine!

Timing

That needs a repairman because you have to reset the gears, if it is still having the same problem take it back to the repair center and they should fix it again for free because they did not solve the problem. I am sorry to tell you but those machines have been nothing but headaches to my customers, many have just bought new machines (our shop sells Brother and Babylock).

Where can I purchase a repair manual or something to help me adjust the timing on my Brother PE 150 Embroidery machine? It is getting expensive taking it to the shop everytime after it gets hung up. All...

You will have a hard time finding a repair manual but try e-bay, that model along with the pe-200 has always had issues with timing being thrown out or the needle bar coming loose i would consider a new machine check out the IN-1200

I'm looking for a price for a White #228 by Jaguar.

I purchased that same machine in 1993 for $800. The White Superlock 2000 ATS sergers were supposed to be the new deluxe model but it turns out that they didn't really work as well as they were intended to. In the years since then all of these sergers were being sold by liquidators. The current price is usually less than $200. for a new machine still in the box. Hope this info helps.

My sewing machine won't pick up bottom thread. Can i re-time my sewing machine myself?

Return the White product and purchase a Singer. I purchased a White 2308, had the same problem, repairman couldn't fix it, so I purchased a Singer and have had no problems.

I doubt White will let me return the machine since I purchased it some time ago and gave it as a Christmas gift to granddaughters 2008. So, I'm probably out the money I paid for a piece of junk, but I'd rather pay for a better machine and not be so frustrated.
