I have a little giant 3-mdqx-sc inline pump. The pump is clean. The motor hums but only spins at about one RPM. Very, very slow. Can this be fixed?

Yes any good electric motor shop can repair this problem , but might require pump be removed first (ask first)

SOURCE: Hi, I have an inline aquarium pump made by Little

sounds like you need to get that pump off, take it apart and give it a good cleaning in vinegar. I have 135gal reef tank and do mine about once every 6 mos. You need to have cut off valves on each side so you can take it off when you need to. Go to 3reef.com. They can answer any question you've got!

Try taking it to a Grainger's store or go online to Graingers.com. There are usually enough numbers on the motor to find a match if there is one available.

yes it should go away, this is a magnetic drive pump so it needs water to lubricate the porcelain shaft, it's not good on it to run it dry for long period of time just a short time, these pump eventually wear and will need to be replaced. they seem to last 2-5 years .. and back pressure is not good, so if say running a fountain bleed off excess water do not use a valve to restrict flow.. this is how we get the 5 years instead of the 2 ! .. jay the pump guy longwood fl

Beko Dishwasher DE3542F is not draining away and when i open the door it all floods out. I cleaned it through with a wash aid and cleaned filters and put boiling water in to clear away but it is still not...

It could be several things--- a clog, a jammed or broken drain pump iimpeller, a burned out drain pump motor, or the control is not sending power to the drain pump.

If you can hear the drain pump running (you might have to get down on fhe floor), then you should try something simple first. The drain from the dishwasher is probably a rubber hose that connects to the side of your garbage disposal. It might be clogged right there. Loosen or remove the clamp that holds that hose to the disposal. Put a stick in the hole and wiggle it around. Do the same in the hose. Put the hose back on and try it again. If this doesn't fix it, you will again have water in the dishwasher to deal with. :(
.
If you can't hear the drain pump running, it just might be a pretty quiet motor, or the problem will take a little more doing.

Pump stopped

Possibly just blocked up, try taking it apart, and see if anything is stuck in the "Impeller". If it isn't that then it may be the Motor, or the Connections to it.
