Hi Sandra, EE 2 means that the heater did not ignite. There could be several causes. First let me ask, did the heater make a ticking or thumping sound before you got the EE 2? If so that means the fuel isn't getting to the fuel sump. It could be caused by an air bubble in the fuel line, a clogged filter at the tank (if you use an outside tank), or a clogged fuel strainer in the fuel sump. EE 2 could also be caused by a bad igniter. Did the heater light at all? If it did then the igniter is good. If it didn't the easiest way I have found to check the igniter is to use a clamp on ammeter or use a multimeter to check the resistance of the igniter. Another cause is a dirty flame rod. If the heater lit then went out I would suspect this. It can be cleaned with some steelwool or fine sandpaper. Let me know what you find or if you need more info.

How do I put an exponet in on TI-30XA

If you mean an exponent of ten, use the EE key located just above the 7 key. For example, to enter 2.1 times ten to the seventh, press
2 . 1 EE 7

If you mean to raise a number to a power, use the y^x key located just above the divide key. For example, to enter 2 raised to the 3, press
2 y^x 3 =

What does EE mean?

EE means one of 3 things:

1. Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Solution: Wrap the cuff properly so that it is positioned correctly.

2. Did you talk or move during measurement? Solution: Measure again. Keep wrist steady during measurement.

3. Shaking of the wrist with the cuff on. Solution: Same as # 2.

When I enter a chemistry problem in my calculator from the book, it is always one number off on the exponents compared to the answer in the book. Example: Book says: 0.120 x 6.02 x 10ee23 = 7.22 x 10ee22...

I'll bet you're entering 10 before hitting the EE button.

If you try to put in 6.02x10^23 as 6 . 0 2 x 1 0 EE 2 3 then the calculator sees that as 6.02 times 10 times 10 to the 23.

Put it in as 6 . 0 2 EE 2 3

The EE key means "times ten to the." There is no need for you to put in the 10 yourself.

What does it mean when you get a reading then 3 consecutive readings say EE

What is the pattern of the EE? If the two E's are on the same line, then you didn't inflate the cuff to a sufficient pressure. (Wait 2-3 minutes before trying again and then inflate the cuff to 40 mmHg higher than the previous attempt.)

If the Es are arranged vertically, then you overinflated the cuff. Any [ressure above 300 mmHg is beyond the range that this bp monitor can handle. If you reached this point by getting several underinflation alerts, ask your medical professional to test your bp and recommend the starting inflation level that you need.

Make sure that you have the cuff on properly. You may need to consider a different bp pressure cuff size to get an accurate reading.

I hope this.

'EE' means cuff is underinflating. Re wrap cuff with varying amounts of pressure and restart [wait 2 minutes between readings].

HELP, I can't seem to figure out scientific notations with my Texas Instrument TI-30XA. I've searched for hours on the web. Here's the problem: 7.82 x 10^10 / 63.55 = 1.23 x 10^9. But when I input 7.82 x...

Hello,
The error comes from the lack of understanding of the meaning of the notation used by the calculator manufacturers.
The [EE] is a "shorthand" notation for times 10 to the power of .
To convince you of it try entering

1[EE]0 [=] this is 1*10^0=1*1=1
1[EE]1 [=] this is 1*10^1=1*10=10
1[EE]2 [=] this is 1*10^2=1*100=100

When you enter 7.82x10[EE]10
you are calculating
7.82*10*1*10^10=7.82x10^11.

Hope it helps.

When I square 10 it equals 1000 when i use the EE feature

Hello,
To raise 10 to the 2nd power, if you do not have a dedicated key, you use the (^) or (X to the y) or (Y to the x) depending on calculator.

The EE key is a shortcut. It has another meaning
EE 0 = 10^0 =1
EE 1 = 10^1 =10
EE 2 = 10^2 = 100

Thus if you enter 10 EE 2 this is equal to 10 x EE 2=10x 100= 1000.

This is the correct way.

Hope you will remember it : It is the source of much grief to the learners.

I have lost my instructions for my Salter glass bathroom scales 9103. I have a EE on the digital mode what does this mean and what can I do to fix it so the correct weight shows

The scales display EE as they are reading a negative weight.

With the scales switched OFF place 2 glass plates on the scales and press ON.

The scales should now display 0g.

If this doesn't work add more weight and try again.

There is also 4 screws on the underside of the scales which hold the weighing bar in place, if you loosen the 2 smaller screws this should relieve some of the stress so less weight is needed to zero the scales.
