The coffee pot # DCC-1200 does not keep the carafe hot. Coffee maker is about 6 months old, not heavy use, no abuse, just stopped holding temperature. Cannot find warranty paperwork.

Your coffee maker has a 3 year warranty, If you completed and sent in the warranty card then you are covered and you need to contact the manufacture for warranty service. To obtain warranty service, please call the Consumer Service Center toll-free at 800-726-0190 or write to:
Cuisinart 150 Milford Road East Windsor, NJ 08520 If it is not keeping the coffee hot then the heating plate element is defective or the heating plate temperature control knob needs to be turn up. There are 3 settings on the temperature control, L, M, & H. Set the control to H. You also must leave the on/off switch on for the heating plate to stay on. Here is the owner's manual. http://www.cuisinart.com/share/pdf/manuals/dcc-1200.pdf If you want to repair it yourself, know that taking it apart will void the warranty. The element in the heating plate may be defective if all else is ok. This unit cannot be repaired by the consumer because you cannot get the parts so you would have to just buy a new one. Hopefully you sent in your warranty card and can get warranty service.

Brews good hot coffee but warming plate has stopped heating! Are replacement elements readily available or could it be a fuse...??

The DCC-1200 has only one element, that both heats the water for brewing and keeps the carafe warm. If you're brewing coffee then the element is fine and the suspect part is the Thermistor. Another forum suggested this was a Vishnay NTCLG100E22245B, available from DigiKey (their part # BC2467), connected to the control board with thin yellow wires. The same forum suggested that this thermistor should test at 220K ohms at room temperature, dropping to 20K at about 220F.

DCC-1200 leaks coffee onto carafe and warmer plate

My coffee pot was leaking over the carafe and onto the warmer. I found that this issue was caused by the carafe lid. The lid was not allowing coffee to flow into the pot fast enough. I removed the inner mechanism from the carafe lid (it pops off really easily) and just sit the lid on top of the pot while brewing, and no more leaks! After brewing, I put the mechanism back onto the lid and twist lid onto the pot.

I have a Mr. Coffee and when I forget to empty the left over coffee in the carafe and made a full pot, it overflowed. I did this three times with a new pot, knowing that all that coffee will not fit in that carafe. If you have done this then welcome to the club. I have a friend that did this a couple times and he threw out the automatic pot and went back to his old drip coffee maker. he said, "At least I have to take the damn thing apart each time, so I won't do that again."

I have a cusinart DCC-1200 Series, So how do I keep my coffee hot all day long ?

Brewed coffee has a palatable life-span of maybe an hour before it loses flavor. I don't recommend keeping it any longer. The thermos should keep your coffee hot enough to drink for some time. If you really want to drink from that same pot all day long, I'd probably just reheat a cup at a time in a microwave.

The heater plate on cuisinart cbc-1600 coffee maker does not stay on after brewing cycle to keep coffee hot. is this normal operation?

The CBC-1600 comes with a thermal carafe. therefore, it doesn't rely on a heater plate to keep the coffee warm.
