What make and model calculator?

Is the key you call "Yx" actually y-superscript-x? If so then that's the one.

It depends on the calculator.

**To enter the variables x or y**, look for an ALPHA key. Then find the key that has an x next to it. To enter x, you press ALPHA followed by the relevant key.

On some TI's TI30XII, there is a key marked [x,y, a, b,c]. You cycle through the available variables by pressing the key repeatedly.

However**if by the yx key you mean the universal power key** sometimes marked as [Y^x] then look for it under the markings [Y^x], [X^y] or [^].

As you might have guessed, knowing the calculator's model number helps us taylor the solution to your question.

If you are using an HP 12c or have the button on the calculator "yx" you first enter the number you wish to raise (y) then enter then the power (x). For instance to find 230 (2 to the power of 30) you input the number 2 then hit the enter key on the calculator, then input 30 and hit the yx button.

If you have another model of calculator the procedure may be similar or the buttons. Play around with it. By the way the solution to 2 raised to the 30th power is 1,073,741,824.

The *yx *(where x appears as superscript to y) button will do this for you 5 [yx] 5 = 3125.

in the calculator put in 22, then press the YX key located above the divided sign. then hit enter. after that it the times button and put in 18 then the YX button and then 23. hit enter and there should be the solution.
