I bought the TV used, the DVD player did not work, i tried to put another DVD player on, but cannot figure out why DVD won't work. i used the remote to change to AV (alternate video) but the DVD still doesn't show up. I have changed the jacks every which way I can change them and still no DVD watching. Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? I wish I had the book to this TV, that might help.

Re: I can't get DVD to play on Tv
Make sure you have the rca jack from the dvd player to the tv yellow is VIDEO while red and white is audio(doesnt matter on a small tv set like that for audio) if only one audio jack then just use the white one

i guess there a built in dvd player on the set and it could play most DVD format. but if you wish to use another dvd player hook up the dvd on the tv video output (DVD) to video input (TV) audio output to audio input the find the auxiliary button from either the tv or dvd
Try putting in a VCR tape let it load and hit stop. If the set stays on it's the VCR deck causing the problem. It will be either be bad sensors or LED or possibly the mode switch. Let me know if this helps.
You should be able to hook into your tv with no problem using a audio/video jack available at any radio shack, you would tune your tv to either the select "video" channel or ch.3, your t.v. set should have no problem with the attached device.
try turning your dvd player on and then doing a channel search if that does not work just buy a RF modulator and hook up your dvd player to it and it will run on channel 3 or 4 and will switch over by itself when you turn on your dvd player
I'm not sure, but, if you use the channel down button on the television, the set may go to the video inputs.
If not a local retailer should have an inexpensive universal remote that would work on this set and have an input or tv/video button.
If you use a cable box, the remote can be programed also.
