I have a Linksys Wireless-G WPS54GU2 Print Server that has been reset. I don't have the installation disk and it doesn't seem to be picking up an address from my dhcp router. Is there a default ip address I can use to get to the configuration page or somplace that I can download the installation program?

Re: Wireless-G WPS54GU2 Print Server Lost disk
If you visit the LinkSys website you should be able to download all applicable drivers and files for this print server. Also you will likely be able to access a user manual (in PDF format) which should give you all the information you need.

Based on your post description, I am assuming that: 1. You can connect to the Internet through your 2241 Neptoia modem; 2. You can access your WRT54G V8 Linksys Wireless router @ 192.168.1.1; 3. Both 1 & 2 above could be done through a wireless connection from your PC.
Connect everything as they are supposed to be wired (printer, Print Server, modem, router etc)
Pls try: a. Connect the Linksys wireless print server using a lan cable to the Linksys WRT54G Wireless AP/router. (Will tackle the wireless connection a bit later) b. Reset your print server; & c. Do a diagnostic print-out. Instructions for b & c are in page 4 of your manual.
You need to verify that: i. the Power indicator is contnously green ii. the Ethernet indicator is contnously green iii. the USB indicator is contnously green iv. the Wireless indicator may or may not be contnously green
Pls post back with the generated diagnostic print-out before we can proceed with the other steps.
Additionally, try installing the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 direct to one of the USB ports of your PC. Use the installer/driver CD that came with it. Try using it as a regular printer. This will tell us status of the printer.
Make sure your printer already has its drivers installed on all PC's prior to attempting to install this print server.
Be sure also that your printer can print when it is connected directly to your computer.
Click on Start go to Printers and Faxes.
Right click your printer and go to Properties.
Click on the Ports Tab on the top.
Click Add Port. Select Create a new port: and select the Type of port: StandardTCP/IPPort, click Next.
This will bring the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard, click Next
Inthe field for Printer Name or IP Address: enter the IP address of thePrint Server and click Next. (You can get the IP address of your printserver by pressing the reset button on your device for 3 seconds thenit will print out it's status).
Select Custom, click Settings.
Under Protocol select LPR, and for Queue Name: type L1. Click Ok, then Next, and Finish.
Youshould be able to print on the device afterwards. You can refer to yourRouter's Wireless Settings and match them on the WPS54G so that theywould be able to communicate wirelessly.
With this print server not all printer are compatible with it, but if you connect same model of printer that was also working with this print server, best thing to do here again is to reset the router and reconfigure it back using the setup CD that came with it and if still the same problem, it will be better to call Linksys tech support so they can check if your printer is compatible with this print server if its compatible let one of the Linksys tech walk you through with the process, they are open 24/7 this is the number 800-3267114....
great if ur laptops r acessing the internet ... perform the followings ....
> open the page of the print server and try to match the wireless settings of the router on it and u will be able to use the printer as well ....
