Hi,
Printer needs a driver that allows it to communicate with your computer. Sometimes printer drivers need to be updated. The drivers must be compatible with operating system.
I am not sure about brand & the model of printer you are using, You need to re-install printer driver, But before installing printer driver/software, you need to un-install any previous version of printer software/driver from your system (computer). You'll easily find printer driver on the printer manufacturer's website.

Good luck and have a nice day...!!

Camera says connection failed

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I can't print anything from my computer. I can scan&copy OK, but can't copy anything from my computer screen.

Hi,

When you try to print from the computer is there any error message pops up? What actually happens when you try to print from the computer, please explain for best diagnosing the problem
I think its a driver related problem. Still you can try these;

1- At first run a printing troubleshooter by going to this link here, follow the instruction in the page and see if any common printer problems results.

2- If the result is 'OK', run a HP Print Diagnostic Utility by installing it from here, read the instructions in the page and follow the steps.

Or it would be better if you come to chat here so that I can fix your remotely by connecting to your computer.

Hope this helps, thanks for using fixya.com!

My printer has an exclamation point light flashing a< it will not print or copy, fax, scan or anything. I unplugged it for 30seconds and still doesnt work < what do i do?

Try going to the control panel in windows and selecting "Add New Hardware". then plug in the printer.
The other method may require checking with the manual. you might need to install software before plugging connecting it to the computer.

Keep getting error msg: printer status shows not attached to local port. how to recover shows non-LPT/USB port connections are not supported by this status monitor. printer worked a few days and now...

You have to be sure that you are connecting the printer in exact the same USB port. If you are connecting to a different port and not to the one from was disconnected, the Windows is installing another copy of your printer. Check this, I believe this is the solution to your problem.

It wont print

you see what it imply is that it a software problem so what you will do is find the printer driver that come with your printer and install it. if it new you buy it software most come with it but if you have done it befor. it means you have not install the driver properly. i will like if you can uninstall the driver then reinstall is back. those devicese take deferent way of installing their drivers some what you do is befor connecting the cable to you pc install the driver on the pc first while other you will connect the device to your pc then the installation wizerd will promt and ask if you will do the intalation manually or authomatically you will just follow the questionair.
