Nuvi 750 Car charger connection is intermittent.Either the Car charger or the Nuvi 750 connection is intermittent. The device will display a warning that it is using the battery - 27 seconds to turn o

It is very rare that it would be a problem with the Nuvi 750 GPS itself. This is because there are stationary gold pads on the bottom of the 750. No moving parts to wear out. We have seen problems with a bad plug on the charger that plugs into the cradle and the receptacle on the cradle can go bad as well. I would suspect more toward the cradle as we have seen the receptacles break away from the printed circuit board that is inside of the cradle. Best way to troubleshoot is to find a friend who has a duplicate charger and cradle and swap each piece, one at a time and see which resolves the problem... either the cradle is bad or the charger plug is bad. If you want us to test your unit, cradle and charger, let us know. Good luck! :) More info on charger issues here:

Nuvi 750 battery will not hold a charge. Unit works fine if plugged into the auto power. What might the problem be? What is the estimated cost of repair.

Sounds like you just have a dead/bad battery.

You can check to see if your device was included in a recent battery-related recall here:
https://my.garmin.com/rma/recallLanding.faces

If your unit is not included in the recall and you are (or a friend is) handy, you can buy a replacement on the net and replace it yourself for around $25 (US Dollars):

(There are other sources for the battery, I do know if the linked company is trustworthy.)

I'm not sure what Garmin charges for this type of service?

If this occurs when running on battery power, then it sounds like you just have a dead/bad battery.

If your GPS works fine when connected to a power source, then leave your GPS plugged in to a power source over-night, and if you still have this problem...

Hello everyone. I bought garmin nuvi 750 GPS six months ago. I use it travelling all over and it works pretty good. But I dont know how could i find alternate route for same destination. For eg. I want to...

What you're looking for is called "Via Points" as your friend correctly suggested. From the Garmin Nuvi 750 web based information:

nüvi 750 includes advanced navigational features to take the worry out of traveling. With route planning you can save 10 routes, specify via points and preview simulated turns on the 750's wide screen. In addition, nüvi 750 automatically sorts multiple destinations to provide an efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls.

"Alternate routes" are those routes that are created when the nuvi is used with a traffic receiver (FM or MSDN). This allows for a new route to be created with the traffic data so that routes suffering congestion, etc. are avoided. Some people also refer to the routes created when a turn is missed (the GPS indicates "Recalculating") as an "alternate route" but it is not.

Good luck!

The battery wont take a charge my computer is saying plugged in not charging

Check the manufacturer's web-site: http://www.compaq.com
to see if this battery is faulty, and if the manufacturer has issued a "recall".

Otherwise, unless you find a friend with the identical notebook, and can try your battery in the other computer, it's time to replace the battery, either by searching on http://www.eBay.com or by accessing the manufacturer's web-site, in order to get a "genuine" replacement battery.
