Question about Westell Wirespeed VersaLink (A99-327W11-00) Router (A99327W1100)
My Aunt has a Westell Versalink 327W wireless router for her Bell South DSL, and she forgot the network key for the wireless connection. I would tell her don't worry about it because she's still connected on her main computer, but her daughter's computer can't connect because she doesn't know the network key, and I want to connect and don't know the network key. She's asked me to try to solve the problem and the only answer I can come up with is reseting the router and creating a password she can remember. I just need to know how to do this. Any help would be great.
You can get the network key if you can connect a computer directly to
your westell modem. you can use any of the 4 ports on the back of it
labeled E1,E2, and so on. then open your internet explorer and in
the address bar type any of this http://dslrouter or http://192.168.1.1. next click the configuration menu on the top then select wireless. you'll see there the security or authentication type.
if you really want to reset the modem, press the reset button on the back of it for 5-10 sec.

Log into the Router and go to the Wireless Config. The router address would be the default gateway for the connected PC; most likely 192.168.1.1 or something of that nature. There you can create a new network key or use a converter to convert the hex to decimal.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Forgot the Network Key
Ok, if her main computer is connected wireless, and still works, you may not have to reset the router at all.
Go here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html
download it, and run it on her main computer. It basically finds the key that windows has already saved, and allows you to view it.
Let me know if you have any other issue. :)
