that part is available several places on the interent and you can buy the bulb itself or the bulb mounted in a new housing (if yours is damaged) ... if your housing is ok and you can figure out how to mount the new lamp in it then its a little less to get only the bulb ..
here is one place that has both options: http://www.260962.com/rca2.html
If your tv is around 2-4 yrs or used 6000-8000 hrs, never replaced the lamp before it could be time to replace it.If you hear strange noises like buzzing or humming noises it could be the color wheel which is a little disc that has a gamma of colors and spins at high rpms. When the light of the lamp goes through it creates the colors on your tv.The other most common failure is the board that powers the lamp, which is called the ballast. When its bad it will make a clicking sound or like wanting to turn on.Your part # for the lamp is 265866 and you can find it here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/RCA-265866-265919-269343-271326-270414-Lamp-p/rca-lamp-265866-26591-269343-r.htm Good luck and blessing for your house!
Hi,If your tv is around 1-2 yrs and haven't replaced the lamp it might be time to replace it.But if you hear clicking or continually trying to restart it could be your ballast ,which is the board that powers the lamp. The lamp you will need is the 270414 Found the lam pyou need here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/RCA-HD50LPW164-Original-OEM-Lamp-P-N-265866-p/rca-hd50lpw164-265866.htm?Click=48173 Good luck and God bless you!
Most times this unit goes dead because either the lamp is bad or need to be reseated. Pull the from cover off to find the lamp. First pull out the lamp, clean the contacts on the lamp by just wiping them with a soft cloth and reseat the lamp. Re-assemble and see if that helps. If not you will need to replace the lamp.
There are many different problems with RCA televisions. One could be a color wheel. Another could be a bad ballast. www.Lamp-Replacement.com has a guide and solutions for your RCA lamp 265866 or 270414. The problem is most likely a bad ballast, which is supposed to pre-charge your lamp and ignite it. If you aren't even getting to that stage, you can trace the problem to another component or power supply.
